Well, after four days, I'm on my way back to MD. The good news is that my mother has been cleared to go to assisted living, which means her money will last for along time. The assisted living facility has a dementia wing; I got a tour of the place and it looks great (well, as great as such a place can be.) It's a much more positive environment--the joint actually looks like a hotel. It's heartening to know that my mother won't spend her last days in the dismal surroundings of a nursing home. (And the nursing home is TEN GRAND a month!) At any rate, I'm going back to make those arrangements,prepare her room, ect., then coming back to FL on Wednesday (cos I'm happy to say my girlfriend is moving here on Wednesday and will live only 4 miles from me!) After which I'll have to return to MD for a longer period, to make arrangements to sell my mother's house. But I will be on the board cos--I think I mentioned--I got a verizon mobile hotspot and will have online access now. That's it in a nutshell.

Glad to hear things seem to be getting better as far as your mother is concerned...as good as can be expected, anyway. And of course having your girlfriend close is always a good thing. Take care!

That's great news on your mom and girlfriend. Hmmm.....now that the girlfriend is so close, will we be getting more crazy Ed Lee sex scenes or less?
