I'm about to finish GoT and I have got to say that I have a lot of respect for GRRM. I tried to read it when it first came out and just couldn't. The tv show helped a lot. I wish they had done more episodes because there is a lot of character development that they left out. I can't wait to get into the next book.

So far, my faves are Tyrion, Arya, Jon, and Sandor. I want to see how they all flesh out.

Wife just can't seem to catch a break. She just lost another job. Ever since moving out here to teh east Coast, not much seems to go right.

I finally have a interview tomorrow. I have been out of work almost 2 years.

Cross your fingers that it is a job I want and that I am offered it.

Necon update...last night I purchased skipp's zombie anthology, signed by the god himself. mingled with tons of authors who are the kindest people around. pictures with many of them. Keene is the shit. Dallas a party animal. F paul Wilson is extremely friendly and giving. Rio lives ten minutest from me in Canada. The gang at he hw thAt are are the best. Got go go. Off to the vet. Phoebe, our "daughter", hasn't eaten anything solid in about a week and has been peeing out her butt for the last few days. And now there is blood in it. Usually, when she doesn't eat, it means time to change her food. I've tried that. She's still not eating. She won't even eat when I hand feed her, something she loves.

What pisses me off is that I can't get a vet to see her because we're too poor to do so. With my wife having lost her job and me getting my VA and G.I. Bill, we don't have the money to pay for her vet bill. I tried to get into the SPCA and they can't see her until the middle of the month. She's doing better now. She's started eating.

My buddy Sazy called me last night and asked if I would like to go to work with her today to file and stuff. Of course I said yes. So I worked today. Funny thing though I never did any filing. Instead they put me to work on projects that needed completing. I work on Tuesday of next week and who knows what will happen then. It will either be temp, part time or full time. They are deciding on Monday.

Can I just say THANK GOD FOR ANYTHING I GET.

Victor give her a bit of rice with the food that she is eating. That normally helps "firm" things up a bit.

I've already tried that. And if that doesn't work, I hand feed her, which she loves. Now she won't even do that. She's gotten to the point that she can barely stand and she's been vomiting. Her poop is full of blood as well. We know what she has and we were warned about what was going to happen. We've called around and no one will accept payments and the earliest we can get her in to see a vet is the middle of next month. I don't think she has that long. My wife won't even think about putting her to sleep. If I even so much as hint at it, she screams at me. It's to the point that lay her in front of the window so she can look out and get some sun.

My wife and I have come to the agreement that Phoebe, our beloved "daughter", will be put to sleep. We talked to our vet, and even if we could afford the surgery, we'd just beprolonging her agony. The surgery simply wouldn't actually fix her problem especially given how quickly she's detiriated.

Victor, I'm so sorry. We had the very same conversation a couple of years ago with our vet regarding Cat. It's never a good situation.
