Same vehicle. The Nitro. It's only 6 months old or so. One problem after another. No more Dodges for me. Ever.

Only slept for about two hours last night. Woke up in the middle of the night with the worst migraine I've had in years. I couldn't even keep my right eye open, and it felt like I'd been shot in the head. I lay there in agony for a couple hours, and when I finally did try to get up, I was so dizzy and nauseous that I immediately had to dash for the bathroom. Added to that, Kellie had to work last night (and tonight) so she was sleeping all day. I admit to not being the greatest dad today, as Emma was pretty much left to keep herself occupied while I laid on the couch. I finally got enough food settled in my stomach and some Excedrin Migraine taken this evening to start feeling halfway normal. If you've ever gone through 18-20 hours with a migraine, you know how torturous it can be.

Insidious is a good movie. Made even better by the african americans crowd. Some gems:
"Bitch, that ain't Josh. Josh is on the couch!"

Best though, was watching the 300 pound guy a couple rows in front of us, jump and scream like a little girl.

I will have to rent it though so I can actually hear what they were saying.

Or, how about having sex in a huge bathtub full of pizza? Giving a whole new meaning to the question, "Do you want sausage on that?".

Just got back from one of the worst vacations I ever had. I was so sick. I think I got what Horrordude and Nanci had. The night before we left I was shivering so badly I pulled some muscles in my chest. I was so stuffed up and congested things were coming out of me that I'd never seen before. I can't believe how sick I was, but I was still determined to go on this vacation.

What saved me is on the the third day I went into this old drug store in St. Augustine that sold herbs and roots, and after taking one look at me, the woman at the counter made up this small bag of all these different roots and herbs and told me I should make a tea out of it and drink plenty of it. I started to drink it that night and honest to God, not only did I start to feel better, but all this "crap" came out of me (nose and mouth) and I could breath again, and I finally had enough energy to enjoy walking around a bit. I'll spare you the gory details of what I was going through, but I went to bed every night at 6 - 7 I was so tired and sick, but after drinking that tea, I felt good enough to stay up later.

Today was quite possibly te worst day of my life...

Today I am driving to Trenton NJ where I will catch a PATH train to Penn Station in NYC, then take the "C" train up to 110th Street to go visit with my Mom, who is recovering from heart surgery at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital next to Columbia University. She had a valve replaced, some heart tissue shaved off, and general maintenance performed (as the surgeon told us, "Since I was in there anyway..."). At age 79, though, her recovery has been hard. She was vented for over a week, and only got the breathing tube removed on Monday. But she is a fighter, having spent her childhood in the Depression years on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in upstate NY. Anyone familiar with "Lake Effect" snow can tell you what those Winters can be like. Anyway, good thoughts are welcome - she's a great Mom.

No matter how badly I think I may have it, all I have to do is look around and realize that maybe I'm just being a big baby.

I hope your Mom comes out of her heart surgery in much better condition than when she went in Keith. I bet she is a great Mom.

And Craig. I'm very sorry for you.

And Nanci, yes: Coltsfoot (for the racking cough) and Wild Cherry Bark (acts as an expectorant and relaxes bronchial tubes). Look up shop.oldcityremedies.com or you can call them 904-217-4518 and they will personally recommend a tea of herbs and roots that will help you with what ails you. They blended these together for me, one is an herb, the other a root. The root has to steep for 15 minutes before you drink it. The tea got me through the vacation. It worked.

Charles and Di ruined my wedding 30 years ago. Had the nerve to hold it the week before mine and she stole my bridal bouquet idea

However, after and exchange of letters and phone calls, we reconciled.

Now her son is going to spoil my big birthday -
