What is everyone reading?

I finished off Swan Song by McCammon on Friday. I picked up The Farm by Scott Nicholson today. Just started reading it about an hour ago.

finished The Farm yesterday. good little book.

I like to re-read books, so i picked Shadows by Steve Vance. I've re-read it a few times since I first picked it up back in 91 or 92. it's still the original paperback I got from the drugstore near my parents house when I was in high school. I just found out yesterday that it's a sequel. I guess I haven't read it since I've become a regular on the internet. I'm guessing about 10 years now. so now starts the search for the prequel to Shadows, The Hyde Effect. should be an interesting quest.

Just finished Jeremy Shipp's Cursed this morning. Very cool book. Interesting approach to storytelling, involving the use of lists. A fun read and a surprisingly touching tale.

Other than what I have listed below: Blue World by McCammon, Deep Into That Darkness Peering by The Pic Man, Night Shift by King, and just skipping through certain stories in some older anthologies I dug up.

Currently I'm reading Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett. I've been ploughing through them fairly steadily lately. I probably need the humour for some reason.

Just finished Joyce Carol Oates - Haunted: Tales of the Grotesque. I'll start reading The Best of Joe R. Lansdale tonight. After that it'll be Dweller, by Jeff Strand.

Just finished Greg Gifune's The Bleeding Season and all I can say is that man can write. Good believable characters and real depth thematically. I highly recommend it.

Freak Show might be the only Bryan Smith book I could say I liked. I'm not much for extreme horror.

I can only do an extreme horror novel a year it seems anyway. so this sounds like a good one.

Right now I'm reading The Lake, by Richard Laymon. I know everyone says it's his worst book, and it probably is (I think mostly because it was never really cleaned up - I'm guessing anyway), but it's still a fast-paced, fun read in my opinion. Not his best, but still enjoyable!

And I'm pretty bummed about Funland, too! One month earlier, and it would have been out in regular book format! Oh, well.

Fun Land is great, well, fun, and it sucks that the rest of his backlist won't be brought out now, unless I'm wrong and they don't go under... I bought all those hard to get Headline titles from amazonuk years ago, and enjoyed every one of them.

I was really looking forward to Spore by Skipp and Goodfellow. Plus they were supposed to be re-releasing all of the Skipp/Spector stuff as well. I was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY looking forward to that because all my copies are so worn out that I'm missing pages.

I was reading The Passage by Justin Cronin, but had trouble getting into it and I couldn't finish it before it was due back at the library, so I guess I'll have to buy it.

I'm currently The Ressurectionist by Wrath James White and stories from Hellbound Hearts.

I'm also ordering The Caretaker of Lorne Field and Slights.
