Author Board Updates
Often members (including me) just go right to The Cellar when logging into Horrorworld, so often times we don't check into the author boards to see whats new. I asked Nanci if there was a way to connect the Author Boards to The Cellar and we came up with this.
What I will attempt to do is to check on the Author Boards daily and then put a linc up in this thread in case anybody wants to check them out. If you have any other idea's or a better way to do it, please let me know.
Tim Curran's author board has seen quite a bit of action for a board that has only been around for a short while.
Under the thread "The Hive Part Two", Tim apologizes to his fans for being so busy. Then he goes on in the next post to give a pretty extensive telling of how the whole series came to be. It's pretty good reading.
Under the thread "The Corpse King", Tim briefly talks about the novella's status.
Some of you may remember T.G. Arsenault from when he introduced himself to The Cellar when commenting on the first go round of short stories from our members.
T. G. has had some tough times in the last couple of years, including having brain surgery. He discusses all of this and more in his author thread. Including how much he had been looking forward to having sex with a goat, only to be disappointed.
To read T.G.'s comments on the goat, please click on the thread titled Oh My God, It's T.G.
To read about his discovery of his brain problems please click on Alas, My Brain Is Broke Again
And to read how our own Craig Cook discuss with T.G. about how it feels to know you're going to die for a full minute as you plumment from a plane and free fall down to the ground, please click on the thread titled Bleeding The Vein, Draft Complete.
To find out what Moore has coming up and read James discuss his work with Marvel Comics please read his thread called "Up Coming Info On More Books".
To find out the exciting news about the newest Johnathan Crowly novel and to see the picture Moore posted of Crowly, please read his thread called, "]ohnathan Crowly".
To read an overview of Tom Piccirilli's output and to see how they are graded by a fan, click on the thread called "Grading Tom Piccirilli's Novels". If you get a chance, you should also leave a post giving your on opinion with a grade on what ever work of his you have read.
To read an accounting of Tom Piccirilli's awards (and nominations) please click on the thread called "Tom Piccirilli's Awards and Nominations". I think you'll be surprised at the number of awards Tom has received.
Rob Dunbar talks about Univited Books, and why his company's first book is delayed. Something about "performance anxiety" and when you rub it, it becomes "The Stand". I'm not kidding. Look for it in the thread called Univited Books.
Every hear of Thomas Sullivan? Take a look at his author board, especially his photo threads, this is an author that knows how to communicate with his fans, and enjoys the hell out writing.
Joseph Armstead. I have no idea what he looks like, but if its like his avatar, I'm not giving this guy any crap...ever! Joseph comes back to his board after working like a fiend and coming out with a new book. Stop by and say hello, welcome back, and read his post on someone screaming his name. And our own Nanci has a few welcome back words for Joseph.
I guess Karen Koehler goes to other forums and participates in discussions, but for some reason, she hasn't visited her author board. In her place, some space aliens have come to her board to post, I guess they're looking for a good time, but I'm not sure they understand our planet all that much. Please click on the post called ZAAAAAAAAPPPPPP and see what these strange space creatures are up to. And maybe we can get Karen to come and post. If she hasn't been abducted that is.
Gary Frank has been gone away for awhile and he explains why in a couple of posts along with some great news on upcoming projects and how he got a new agent.
Who can forget Gary's Institutional Memory? He mentions it in one of his threads and both are worth reading. If possible, please say hello to him and welcome him back.
Yeah, she's cute! Angeline is more than just a hot babe though, she can write, and she does a lot of it! She's got quite a few new threads telling us about her upcoming work (and the one from Dark Regions really caught my eye). Click on the linc above here and see what's new from Angeline!
Darren O' Godfrey makes his annual appearence on the author boards. It looks like he's having a tough time lately. Feel like whining? He asks anyone who wants to whine to join him.
It's usually an act of desperation when someone has to sell their horror collection. Click on the linc below (Necessary Evil Press Board) to see someone who really needs the money, and to see if they have something you might want.
Have a bitch about Cemetery Dance and their late books? Join the club. A few members discuss C.D. and more specifically the loooong delay for In Laymon's Terms on Steve Gerlach's author board.
Just wanted to point out that since Tony poked me I've begun putting updates on my topic as well. I'm also putting Crossroad Press news there, though the best source for that remains:
Tasmaniac has a new book coming out from Brentt McBean called Concrete Jungle thats getting tons of good press. I've said it before, but Tasmaniac is my favorite press and they have never let me down once. To read about this new release please click below and visit Steve Clark's site. While your there, look around and read about the new Pic book he's also releasing:
Joseph Armstead is back with another great post. This time he is talking about horror poetry and giving a linc to anyone who wants to submit their poetry to an anthology.
T. G. Arsenault has got some proposed cover shots for his new work "Bleeding The Vein", please go on over to his site and take a look at them, and hopefully comment on which one you like. They are all kinda cool!
Not only is it fun to go to Marcy Italiano's board to see her picture (she looks hot to me!) you should take a look in her thread titled "Holy Hell" to read the lead off paragraph from her new novel (in progress). Yep, she assures us it's going to be very adult in nature, and from the first paragraph, I'm guessing pretty hardcore too.
Not sure to begin this one, the Justice/Wilbanks board just might be tied with the Ed Lee board for the most activity on the whole page. These nice fellows, along with Matt, are always keeping their fans up to date on new projects.
For the latest on Mark's new Pulp Fiction Series please click below and take a peek, you should also roam around and see the tons of news all three of these guys are posting about.
For those that are familiar with Small Press publishers, there has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding one of them lately, it's called Necessary Evil Press.
For those familiar with the press, or Don Koish, it's owner, it was a pleasant surprise to see Don back again after an extended absence, and to see him posting on his board once again.
To read Don's post explaining his absence, and talking about the future, please click below:
