Anybody watch it this week? I thought I'd start a spoilery thread, in case someone wants to discuss it (though with the pace of activity here lately I may be talking to myself).

"Nuff room? Okay.

I thought it was a perfect opening for the season. Since ABC gave the show an end date, the pace has been spectacular. It's obvious that the producer's know exactly where they're going, and we'll get plenty of answers over the next two seasons. I don't expect everything to be wrapped up neatly, and a few loose ends don't bother me. As long as the writing and acting remain at this level they can tell me it all happened in Bob Newhart's nightmare, and it's okay with me (okay, not exactly, but you get my drift).

Some of my favorite moments from the season premiere:

*Sawyer's reactions to Daniel, the slap, and the emotional outburst at the back door to the hatch.

*Locke's encounter with Ethan.

*Richard Alpert. What's the deal with this guy? Best exchange of the show: "It's a compass." "What's it do?" "It points north."

*Daniel's conversation with Desmond.

*Any scene with Penny. :^)

*Hurley getting pulled over by Anna Lucia.

*Kate's meeting with Sun.

*Hurley's Dad (the underrated Cheech Marin) watching Nikki's crimefighting stripper show.

*Jorge Garcia's performance during his confession to his mother.

*The Ben/Hurley confrontation, and Hurley's decision.

*Ben's associate in the final scene. Is time-traveling Mrs. Hawking actually Daniel's mother?

I enjoyed it, but the time travel stuff is really starting to take over. I thought the following skit from the Jimmy Kimmel show was pretty funny.

On some of the podcasts about LOST that I listen to, some have theorized that Marvin Candles baby at the beginning of the first episode this season might be Miles.

***No longer that sure on this one. I watched this part on my DVR today and it seems to be a bit of a streatch to say for sure that one of the police men is Abadon. Interesting theory none-the-less.

Another thing I learned from a podcast about LOST today that I missed originally is that Matthew Abadon was one of the police officers who arrested Hurley. Perhaps he was taken in by people disguised as police working for Widmore.

I enjoyed this episode much better than the first two. I do look forward to learning more about the history of the island itself. I was shocked to find out that was Widmore!
