How is everybody doing with this? Does anybody have their books yet?

I'm about 50 pages into The Descent, and it is one creepy ride. The whole scene of the Himalayan cave expedition had me cringing.

This is my first novel by Jeff Long, but man, can this guy write.

I'm about 100 pages into Hunter's Dirty White Boys. Kind of reminds me of Prison Break, but a lot more raw. Still, having fun so far....

I liked Owl Goingback's stuff. I got to read two books of his and haven't heard or seen anything since....

I have 3 of his books. I just never got around to reading them. The last of Owl goingbacks books that I have was published in 2001. I have seen nothing by him since.

I've read Crota and Evil Whispers, which are his first and last, as far as I can tell. I found a third one, Darker Than Night, at Half Price Books last weekend. I've never found anymore.

I finished my book, The Ruins, while on vacation. I really enjoyed it and the only real complaint I have was the predictable ending. I appreciate the recommendation (even though I had already started it

). I also read Koontz's Intensity (good) and Bryon Morrigan's The Desert (very good) this week.

I'd like to participate in this again. Maybe by the time the second round begins, HHF will have received his book

The Crota, was a good choice,Thad.
I had my first chance to really sit down and read it at work last night and I had flown through 50 pages in no time. Goingback really nows how to keep the suspense going..

That's good to hear, Roger. It is a nice little monster book, I think. And not overwritten for a first novel.

I'm about 60 pages into Mephisto Club. Should finish by the end of the week.
