I got my hand on the first of the eight horror festival movies entitled MULBERRY ST. I am going to watch it tonight. It looks really good for a limited budget movie.

Just finished up the Nick Cage movie "Next". Not bad, in fact pretty good in a popcorn eating, leaning back on the couch type way. But I did not care for the end and I can't say why here. But those that know my tastes in fiction could guess.

For those that have not heard about this movie, it concerns a man who can see two minutes into the future, but only his own future. He can also change the circumstances of that future by seeing what lies ahead in the next two minutes and then doing something different from what he saw.

He uses his gift to make a living at playing cards and doing magic tricks and everything is going fine until he prevents a casino robbery and he starts recieving images of a girl (Jessica Beal) that he knows he will meet in a future that is more than two minutes out. The rest of the plot involves a nuclear bomb set to go off somewhere in Southern California.

Like I said, a pretty good movie if you just let it take you where it wants to and you don't think too hard about it.

Craig that is down right scary. Nothing gives me nightmares more than Kimmy Gibbler.

Next was an entertaining Sci-fi movie. They definitely need to make more good sci-fi movies. But the same can be said for horror and fantasy so I won't linger on that thought.

I watched the Heavy Metal/Cat Piss episode of South Park. My god was that hilarious. I can't believe they got away with that much boobage. Another couple years and I think we'll all be watching naked news at 10 o'clock.

Isn't it funny, I enjoyed the movie Old Boy.

I have a different enjoyment criteria for movies than I do horror novels. Movies don't have to make sense to me. I just want to be entertained.

Now in horror novels, there has to be some logic or continuity in the story. I think its because of the time investment I have to make.

Tt. I thought the first third of OLDBOY was great. It just fell apart for me after that. I am glad I watched it though.
