Finishing up The Myth Hunters by Christopher Golden.

As I mentioned on the podcast, I have several books headed my way now. My next read depends on what gets here first. The candidates are:

Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
Currency of Souls by Kealan Patrick Burke
Wicked by James Newman
The Everlasting by Tim Lebbon
Laughing Boy's Shadow by Steve Savile

The Myth Hunters isn't that long, but my reading time has been limited the past week to the five minutes in bed before I fall asleep.

For me it's more like a half hour to a full hour, unless I don't read at all that night.

Can't really tell what I'm reading since I'm in a way involved in the production process (layout) and not sure if I'm at liberty to talk about it, but I can tell you, it's good and coming soon. I'm also listening to the audio version of The Husband by Dean Koontz and eagerly waiting for my copy of Masques V.

I made a stop last night and picked up SUMMER OF NIGHT by Dan Simmons and FREAKSHOW by Bryan Smith. So, those go into the TBR pile.

Summer of Night is an awesome book. One of the all time greats IMO. A Winter Haunting is very good as well and is sort of a sequel to it.

I'm still reading The Horror Club by Mark Morris. I'm only 160 pages into it. I only get to read about a half hour at night as well, and sometimes I'm reading comic books instead. Add to that the fact that I just read slow. I should finish the book sometime next month. Hopefully by then I'll have recieved Ramsey Campbell's Grin of the Dark.

If you liked A Winter Haunting, I'm pretty sure you'll really like Summer of Night as well.

I just finished Jeff Strand's Mandibles last night. It was a really fun read. I like how at the end, he just sort of opens the flood gates (literally) and starts throwing all sorts of whacked out bugs at you. It was pretty comical.

Not sure what I'm going to start next. I've got a shitload of Leisure books that I haven't touched yet (including Ghoul, which I keep meaning to start but keep getting distracted). It's probably between Ghoul & The Beast House.

My wife's grandfather died the other day, so we're driving up to Connecticut tomorrow for the next several days. I've got Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None loaded into the iPod as well as about 45 classic short stories from Poe, Lovecraft, Dickens, Kafka, Edith Nesbit, Bram Stoker, and a handful of others to listen to. Should get lots of horror in over the next few days.

I found The Late Late Show on I-tunes but when I went to their library, it was empty. Are they still in opperation?

I went to the link provided but for whatever reason I can't get it to find my I-tunes page so that I can download anything. I'm not sure if it's my computer or what. I'll just have to wait a few days and try again later. Thanks for providing the link to their website though.

I am a weird reader, in terms of read several books in rotation, which means I have several already with book marks shoved in between the pages.

Recently completed Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. (cheesy, but couldn't put it down, for some reason)

Currently reading:

Beneath Still Waters -- Costello (60 pages in)
The Shining (160 pages in. what a book!)
Dead Souls (140 pages in. Couldn't find it for awhile. It was under the bed)
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (50 pages in, then bought the audio on I-Tunes. Been listening to while going to work.
The Church --bentley Little (40 pages in)
Half Moon Down -- Stephen Greshem (120 pages in...and it's lame! I will finish it, someday).
one or two crappy sci-fi novels not worth mentioning here.

Yes, I'm reading all of the above, all at the same time. It's just something I developed in Graduate school. Get real bored? Switch to something. Hence, I call it reading in rotation. Eventually, everything gets read. It could be read in two days, or a year or two. And yes, I have no problem keeping track of all the different story lines.

I didn't list it, but I stopped on page 10. Not because I hated it or anything. I saw what Campbell was doing with multiple narrators, and at the time, I wasn't in the mood for the shifting center of attention. I don't know absolutely what the supernatural quotient was, being 10 pages in, as it was just a bunch of books laying on a Barnes and Noble type floor. Will keep you posted...
