What book should I get next?

So far I have read and own The Bighead, Goon, Flesh Gothic, Backwoods, Messenger, City Infernal, Monstrosity, and Coven... there a few others I can’t remember or can’t see down here.

I really, really loved The Bighead. Especially Dicky and Balls’s antics.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any Ed Lee or another author’s ( heh,

) books that had more of these two, or similar characters that pull the shit they did.

About 10 Minutes ago, I ordered, the Big Head and Shifters in trade paperback. I'm not really a collector I just wanna read the stuff.
I pretty much have loved everything I've ever read from this guy. The City Infernal and Infernal Angel books are good fun.

He's got a book called Ghouls that I've been looking for at all the used bookstores.
Speaking of Ghouls, the new Brian Keane book (Ghoul) from leisure was a good read. Someone on the Pod of Horror said there was too much of the nostalga refrence thing going on for their tastes but I didn't mind at all.

I'd say Pig & The House if you can snag a copy off e-bay, that's my favorite Ed Lee title to date, real hardcore. Or you could go for "Portrait of a psychopath as a young Woman" the trade paperback from Necro is still very much available and is a must read for an Ed Lee fan.

Other authors that are pretty damn sick are, Monica O'Rourke, Charlee Jacob and Wrath James White. You can't go wrong with them.

Some other good authors you might want to try are Jack Ketchum, J.F. Gonzalez and Ray Garton. Not so much gross out authors but very cool.

There's an awful lot of talent out there, and I'm still finding new authors every day, but the ones listed above are the ones I've had most fun reading so far.

I'll second the vote for The Pig & The House, also try Family Tradition, both are excellent over-the-top Lee books.

All the suggestions listed by the others are excellent ones, of course, but I'd also highly recommend some of his older titles such as INCUBI, SUCCUBI, CREEKERS, and THE CHOSEN. Also, check out his novel, SACRIFICE (written as Richard Kinion). Most of these books were initially published as pb's in the early to mid 90's, and might be able to locate used copies in used bookshops. Or online used sites. Necrodave might also have some on his site as Necro Publications.

Couple other great authors to check out: the late Richard Laymon (a legend and I'm not sure if he got mentioned), Douglas Clegg, Brian Hodge (some of his backlist is floating around in used bookstores and NIGHTLIFE is one of my favorites of all time, as well as THE DARKER SAINTS and DEATHGRIP).

If THE BIGHEAD was your favorite so far then you should go for Ed's other hardcore stuff and maybe safe his Leisure paperbacks for later. I'll gladly third the recommendation for THE PIG AND THE HOUSE and also start looking for copies of his hardcore novellas TERATOLOGIST, EVER NAT and his newest published novel, GAST. I haven't read the latter yet but Ed's said it might exceed BIGHEAD's excesses and it's his first full length hardcore book in ages. The only problem with prioritizing the hardcore stuff is that it is significantly more expensive than the mainstream paperbacks.
