Yeah, I weed joke a lot because I hate hard drugs.

If there's a gateway drug, it's booze. All I remember seeing growing up was beer commercials and vodka ads.

Horrordude's philosophy: if you want to chill out, drink a few beers and light a joint. Anything beyond that, and you need to smack yourself and have common sense.

In order to fit in, smoking tobacco and drinking was mandatory when I was young. You could buy 2 cigarettes and a match at the local news agent (shhhh under the counter, 'cause we were thirteen years old at the time) and there were certain off licences you could go to that would sell you alcohol under the age of 16. There was a LOT of peer pressure.

I tried smoking, couldn't inhale without choking, so I gave up on that and just lit up occasionally 'for show'. I went to my first pub on my sixteenth birthday. Told my mum and dad about it afterwards. They told me they'd trust me not to be an idiot. Drank myself silly numerous times at the weekends, got severe alcohol poisoning once. I was lucky. And if I'd have heard the stories of what happens to young women at colleges these days, I wouldn't have touched a drop and I would have been armed to the fucking teeth. But you don't know anything at that age and you trust people. There were rumours that some of our teachers smoked grass, but we were all poor and didn't have access to anything like that at the time. Beer and cigarettes, that was it. Stuff like cocaine wasn't available; that was a rich rockstar drug.

I emerged unscathed (mostly). I enjoy a Guinness or a cider every now and then but that's it. But I'd hate to be young now. So much more stuff to lose your head on, and I bet the peer pressure is just as bad as it ever was. All part of growing up but it ain't pretty.

Tv sucks lately. My Sharks are in the playoffs though!! So Woot on that. My buddy Marcy and I have picked June 2016 for our next big adventure. We have a decision to make though. The other half of Ireland or Scotland.
Work has been ok. If the freaking government could stop making changes to healthcare that would be wonderful. It makes my job so damn hard.

Everything about him sceaves me out....

Thankful that I made it through the storms safely, no damage to myself or property . and power was only out for an hour. I hope every one here that dealt with the storms faired well also.

Thanks. There was some pretty bad damage just a few miles from my house. No one died, which is amazing. Looking at the homes and apartments that were damaged that they showed on the news, it looked like a war zone.

Up too early. Out late for concert. BLS was f***ing awesome. The whole show was f***ing awesome. I got a pic with Patrick Bruder. He and Pepper were standing by the soundboard near the bar. They played Iron City Birmingham. It's just a huge bar with a big stage at the back. Did I say the show was awesome? Ears are still ringing a bit. The line up was Butcher Babies, Devil You Know, Down, Black Label Society.

I spent the morning and afternoon planting Lupine, Blood Flowers, Arctic Fire, Shasta Daisy's, and Yarrow in my wild garden.
Looks like I lost quite a few plants to the winter including two small azaleas. The seeding from the fall planting of daisy's didn't take but it looks like the Black Eye Susan's are coming up. The Roto's lining the side yard survived well and some blue is already poking through, should have full bloom within a week.

And yes, I got the floor swept from all the dirt I dragged in before the wife got home.

Lots of stuff happened in the last two weeks. My cousin who lives in Florida got flooded out. It rained over 20 inches in less then 24 hours and brought in over a foot of water. Everything on the ground was ruined. Her car was totaled. She is currently in a hotel thanks to red cross. They are calling her house a loss. Sucks

I got a strange lump on the back of my neck. I decided to go to the doctor when the thing went from a round ball to a squiggly thing about a inch and a half. Turns out it is a lymph node. The doctor ordered a ct scan of my neck and the next day called me to schedule a biopsy. The biopsy was Wednesday afternoon and I have to wait up to a week for the results due to the number of tests they need to do.
I am trying to tell myself it is nothing. I have almost succeeded. Sort of. Worst case is cancer which runs rampant though my family. Generations of family who died from it. But like I said I have almost talked myself into it not being that. Cross fingers right?
Best case it is just some kind of infection. After talking to the doctor during the biopsy she stated I can choose to have the lymph node removed if it is just "funny" since you are not suppose to be able to feel them and it would have to be kept looked after for changes. I am leaning towards removing it if it is just weird. I mean who wants a ticking time bomb in your neck right? Although the biopsy site hurt like fucking hell for days. Sigh. I just don't know for sure.

The waiting is what is killing me. The not knowing. I have to admit to being pretty damn tense.



And for some reason I have not told my family any of this.
