It falls somewhere in between late night Cinemax and 50 Shades of Grey. Like 50 Shades, Primal is book one of a trilogy that follows the main characters - and their rivals - throughout the series. However, it doesn't have BDSM and it's not pure erotica but rather the erotica flows from the eh, nature of the beasts lets say. *Doesn't want to give spoilers* Primal is primarily urban fantasy with heavy horror elements (our epic fantasy has heavy horror elements too) and some erotic scenes that, yup, actually do move the plot forward and highlight certain cultural traditions in some of the world's (fictive world that is) beasties. |
