Hi Sully,
Just dropping by to say "hi" and let you know I'm looking forward to the middle of the month. Yup, like Pavlov's dog, I'm learning to salivate when the 16th of the month is approaching, 'cause that means another installment of your Storytellers Unplugged essays, and I gobble down those nourishing, entertaining treats like a black lab going after his Kibbles 'n Bits.
Bring it on, Sully, and watch you don't get your fingers nipped when you set the bowl down!

Ouch. Fingers nipped already. I was going to post my kids baby pictures and write about my recipe for banana bread. Damn, you put the pressure on, Mark. Okay, okay…I’m cool, steady as Jell-O in an earthquake. How about I describe the letter I wrote to the gas company one time? Hmm. Thought I heard barking. Was that you? Oh. Oh. I get it. Gas company letter is a little weak, right? Yeah, I can see that. No problem. I’ll just switch to a survey of all the bathroom walls I’ve read in the last month. Hey, I’ve got a 20-minute bladder, that’s a lot of walls. I mean, it’s not like there’s no variety. You’ve gotta do something about that bark, Mark. Bark Mark. Ha-ha. How about a poem? You know, something short: Germs. Adam had’m. Barking again. How much time do I have? I'm on it, like fleas on a dog. Have some Kibbles & Bits…

Hoo-boy, how yer ticklin' me, dear old Sully!
Oh hell, the pressure's off now -- you done give me a month's worth of entertainment with that there improv. I'm surely blessed, yes I am, and after that you can post to S.U. yer goldarned bowling scores and write about what a mess the dry cleaner made of your best corduroy three piece suit, 'cause I'm a selfish bastard if I'm looking for more from my favorite Maple Grove author!
Yee-Haw!!!!
<the respondent regains his composure>
Oh, um, but seriously, Sully, thanks for giving me a mile-wide smile with your stream of comic witticisms. Given the sad lack of traffic on this board, it's a shame it won't reach a wider audience. But I'll continue to do what I can to share the good news that there's a man called Sully who is a voice to be reckoned with.
