Has it been so long that I get a notice in email? 10 months you say!? What the hell have I been doing here as all that time slipped away?

I've been web-working, a lot, especially in April and May - which I am thankful for. But money always trumps creative endeavours unfortunately.
In January I started writing a new book. I'm going back to fiction, a monster story I've been wanting to properly fill out for some years now. It started out as a short story, then a novella, and now we're going whole hog. The year is halfway through and I'm not quite at the halfway point of the first draft, which was my potential schedule. I should be able to get caught up once G is done school. The working title is THE QUEEN, and I'm not sure that's going to end up changing.
I'll try to come back here more often, I swear. I need adult interaction in any way I can get it.
I'm starting Part Two out of three on the first draft and this is where a previous novella version of it starts, but I'm starting to see that I can't just lift it out and drop it in. Gah! No short cuts in this game...
