If you have already received my Marcanity Newsletter or read my LJ you know this already but...
I've changed my wesbite! I knew that work was going to pick up this fall and I wouldn't have free time to do it later, and I was getting sick of the green.
On the revamped website you will find a new section for Songwriting. G and I (with Greg Lamberson) have started a Horror CD initially based on Greg's JOHNNY GRUESOME tale. We will all keep you updated! G and I are having a blast working on music together so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more on that! I included an Updates/News page where you will find more about the upcoming magazine where Diana Barron interviews me regarding the paranormal. Why? Because I've started working on a new book, GHOSTS OF NIAGARA FALLS. This also inspired the "old house" look of the site. If you're a MySpace fan, you can find me out there now, too.
The other fun areas you've been visiting on my site are still there, picutres, a link to my day job (The Web Lizard), and of course, my LiveJournal where I post regularly to let you know most of what's going on. So on that note, go check it out, surf around, and take in some new pictures from Halloween. My costume might surprise you.
We are already planning for conferences next year, and I've listed them on the Upcoming page as well if you want to know where we'll be in 2007. For those that know our travel history, maybe you'll want to avoid those places? HA!
I am still working on placing the KATRINA AND THE FRENCHMAN book, I will let you know as soon as I hear back.
I should mention quickly that if you're in town this weekend - Friday, Nov 10th, G's band Brass Pear is playing at Koppers again. The band will be taking a break for a while after that due to the drummer's surgery, so come see them while you can! For more details visit:
I saw white on the ground this week. Strangely, I felt a little excited. That part of me that always knows, during the summer, that there's a whole exciting world out there to discover and I find it hard to work. Feeling torn between writing duty and life outside. When it snows it means no rain (which is painful for me) and my body functions better. Snow means the world out there quietens, and the agonizing in my head while trying to decide how to spend my time is gone. Inside. Quiet. Working. Occasional, well deserved breaks on weekends. I love the noise and chaos and rumble of summer schedules, but as I get older I'm appreciating the quiet times as well.
