I’m now reading submissions for the Pod of Horror Xmas Story Contest. The guidelines are simple. I want to see horror stories with a Christmas setting. No limits on language, theme, setting, blah blah blah. No reprints. Length: 500-2000 words Deadline: December 15, 2009 Format: E-mail subs only to podofhorror at aol dot com. Word document or .rtf file. Double space, please. I have old eyes. Compensation: No pay, but the winning story will be read on Pod of Horror #58, which goes live on December 19, 2009. The winning author will also receive a box of cool stuff from the Pod of Horror Prize Vault. |

I have sent off my submission!  Even if it doesn't make the cut it was good to work on it and be forced to keep it under a word count I haven't attempted before (barely, I think the final version was 1,997 words). It was a lot of fun.

I wanted everyone to know that the next PoH -- which was to go live 12/19 -- has been pushed back a few days while some issues are resolved. Hey, it will give me more time to decide the winner of the story contest.
