I have difficulty with comedy and horror together. I tend to like my horror pretty dark. Not so much gore, just very atmospheric and creepy. I did just send out my only attempt at writing a horror/comedy story to The Dark Jesters anthology. I like those types of stories if the horror and weird stuff is given as much or more focus as the comedy aspects of it. I always think of the episode of The X-Files that got me hooked on the series originally. It was Jose Chungs From Outer Space. That episode had a lot of funny parts but the mystery and odd stuff was terrific.

Since it's a chinese film, a lot of the humor was likely lost in translation.

Recommended only if you're a hardcore asian film nut.
