Perhaps I should talk my brother into going and getting a book and having you all sign it for me. Problem is, my brother doesn't really read (in the last 15 years, he's only read one novel...by "The MD" by Thomas Disch), and I'm positive that I'll have to send him 20$ because he's always broke

Maybe my mother in law, but she's mostly a thriller reader. Lord, I must be a book nerd if I'm contemplating sending a "proxy" to a book signing......

A signing is scheduled for December 1 from 2-4 PM, but I can't make it.

well, that sucks.

I think, however, that I will still deploy the in-laws to that signing. Having lived in west virginia for a while, I want a copy of that book, and a signed version would be better, though.

Looks like my crazy father-in-law has been drafted to go to the signing and pick up a copy. He's the type of guy that can talk your ear off about Bass fishing and make no sense what so ever.
