This story was completely written as I left my first horror convention, WHC in Seattle, 2001, and decided to stop in at Denny's for a bite before the long drive back to Montana. I kid you not, I waited almost 45 minutes before someone even asked if I wanted something to drink. So I sat there...and sat there....and wrote this story.
