The deadline is October 7. On October 8 I will be on a plane for Georgia to visit my son. The Burying Board can be the name of a boat. It could be the name of a bar a character passes on the street. It could be mentioned once, in passing, in a conversation about something completely different. What I think people are looking for here are just stories, about 1,500 words, two or three scenes at most. |

The absolute deadline for stories is 9pm (Eastern Time) on October 7th. I have a very early flight the next morning so I have to get some sack time beforehand. I will start posting anonymous stories here starting at 9pm. Good luck everyone! |

DEADLINE UPDATE: I have to catch a red-eye flight very early on Friday, so I am going to have to get a room near the airport Thursday night so I don't miss my flight. For this reason, the deadline for story submission is now MONDAY, OCTOBER 11, @ 6PM. This way, I can do my early travel  AND give the slower writers  an extra few days to polish their entries.

Just wrote about a thousand words of my story. Will finish it up tomorrow morning. Once I got going, it started to flow pretty well. Doesn't mean it's any good, but at least I'm doing something.
