This isn't an Edward Lee story,per say, but I do think those that post on this board would get a kick out of it. I am an avid public library user and it was first there I discovered Lee. In time, I had also discovered other extreme authors as well, Brian Keene for example. Yesterday I was at the library and I happen to pass the new fiction section. Namely, the new paperback section. I noticed "A Gathering Of Crows" by Brian Keene sitting on the shelf. I thought to myself, I liked that one. Especially the intestine choking scene. Then a sticker that identifies what type of book it was caught my eye. The sticker read "Romance", and I thought "What the fuck? Man, this is a disaster waiting to happen." I took the book off the shelf and brought it to the Librarian and told her "I'm a big horror fan and while I really enjoyed the book, perhaps you should remove the sticker for it is as far removed from a romance novel as one could possibly get. After all, someone could be scarred for life if they read this thinking it was a romance." Apparently she took my word for it and told me that she would remove the sticker right away. Must be my dashing good looks...Hah! After all, imagine some little old lady picking it up thinking it was a romance story, an saw the black birds on the cover. Aww, how cute. After a few torn limbs and shit, I think she may be thinking, "Where's the Romance?!?"

That is a funny story. They obviously didn't read the book. That's like the one time at the video store, I found Caligula in the comedy section. That definitely didn't belong there.

Romance, huh? that's a hoot. It's a good thing it didn't have a pre-elementary sticker on it...
