Hello Mr Lee!

I've been reading your books for a couple of years, I've got all mass-market stuff, I'm planning to buy something from small press (but it's a bit costly ) I like your books very much - it's a pity no one has decided to publish them in Poland yet...
I've got a few remarks/questions to you:
1) You seem to know a lot about Catholicism, its theology etc. - were raised in Catholic family? Because, it seems that average Protestant raised guy wouldn't be so elaborate about meanders of Catholic faith
2) In "The Golem" there is a small mistake - there is a fragment (taking place in 1880) where the Jewish worker tells the captain that they come from Czechoslovak/Czechoslovakia! Well, in 1880 there wasn't a country called Czechoslovakia - it was created from two nations - Czechs and Slovaks after the WWI in 1918, after the fall of Habsburg empire. It ceased its existence in the 90s of the 20th century.
3)"Clay" in Czech means "hlina" not "hilna". Czech is quite similar to Polish so I quickly noticed this mistake
Anyway, I like the fact that your last mass-market books deal somehow with Central-Eastern Europe!

IrekB! Wow, what a delight to have a fan in your country! thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to me. I was actually raised Protestant but have a lot of Catholic friends. Thanks for pointing out my errors (believe me, I have many!) Next time I write a book that refers to Europe, I'll definitely consult you! It's interesting that many years ago I got a contract from a publisher in Krakow (did I spell that right?) for my novel COVEN but, lo, either the company went out of business, or the editor left. Not really sure what happened. I think his name was Radislaw Kot. Oddly I've had many books ALMOST contracted in foreign countries (Spain, Russia, France) but I must be jinxed because it never comes to be. So far I've only been published in Germany, Romania, and, soon, Greece.
