Ahhh... This thread is a great one indeed. I got a copy of the Golem and was going to wait to read it as I have the hard cover edition on preorder. Anyway, saw this thread and popped it open and low and behold, there is my name as well. What a great thing to see. Thanks for including me as well. Very cool.

Ditto for me Ed, just got my copy today. Awesome to see my nickname in your acknowledgements. Seeing how you lived in Seattle for a bit, wondering if you caught where I ripped it off from? There's a band from Seattle called the Accused. Back in the late 80's they had a cd called Martha Splatterheads Maddest Stories Ever Told. That was a great low budget cd in a time of Thrash, Glam, Death Metal, etc. I truly think it was SplatterPunk for the music industry. Anyways, thanks for putting me in your book! Can't wait to read it. Can't wait for the hc and your other new projects!

I'm halfway through The Monotauress (Which is fucking awesome! by the way) and a friend calls me and says, "Mike, you're in "Golem" I run over to my TBR pile and open it, and sure enough I saw my name and my forum name in the ack. and freaked the hell out! How F'n cool is this. So, I get my copy the other day and I'm looking at the acknowledgments in passing before I set this on the TBR pile. Hate to admit that I'm actually a couple of books behind (smile). Anyway I see GNFNR listed and I think, wow! My man Ed is a fan of Slash and the boys! Not a big surprise, just interesting and brought a smile. Then I see this thread and I'm blown away! It's not the band, it's me! Very cool to include us in the book in this manner. Speaks highly of you to take the time to recognise your fans like this. You, Mr. Lee are a class act .....

It is, indeed, a vast and great honor to be acknowleadged in one of Lee's books. Mere words cannot express the appreciation I felt when I read that I also was mentioned. I always read the acknowleadgement page of any book I read or CD I listen to. After all, the author/artist took the time to thank someone for a reason. It is only right that someone reads it. Thank you again Mr. Lee. I just hope that someday fate shines on me and that I'll be afforded an opportunity to attend some sort of meet and greet that you happen to be at. I would love to get my copy signed (as I am sure many of the other faithful do as well). With that said, if you're ever in the Milwaukee, Wi. area, I'll be sure to be there. Yeah, I know, it's a reach, but had to just put it out there.
