Who would you like to see Ed collaborate with?
Ok, it's been a while(or at least I think it has) since E.L. collaborated with another author. Was wondering(hoping) if there will be another collaboration with some really cool horror author in the near future?
The last Lee collaboration I remember off the top of my head was with Wrath James White. Of course there was Ketchum and Pelan collaborations way back when, as well. I think even a Ryan Harding collab, too.
What's y'all thoughts on who you'd like to see our man Lee collaborate with next?
Personally, I'd love to see him and Ray Garton tagteam a book together! Or how about Jeff Strand(he lives in FL, too)....Wew! That would be a hoot of a novel!
What about it Ed? You and Strand...all I gotta say to that is sign me up for the first copy!
Wel if Mr. lee was to ever write a zombie book and chose to write it with another author I would like to see him write it with Brian Keene. Although I think a collaboration with Richard Matheson would be incredible. That would be my dream team match up.
Brian Keene would be great. But I'd like to see a collaboration with Shane Ryan Staley. I think that would be fantastic!
Oh! And speaking of collaborations...has anyone read the stories: Still Born, The Scarlet Succubus, and Seeing You Again co-authored with John Pelan? I'd kill to read those stories but the anthologies they're in are too expensive my tastes.

I think it would be interesting to see a collaboration between Mr. Lee and Nate Kenyon. The two very different writing styles would mesh well I think. I guess it all depends on individual personalities and if two people can work together and get along in the first place.
I agree with you, Jeff. Nate Kenyon's name crossed my mind when I was thinking about Garton and Strand. At first, I thought, like you said, their individual writing styles are too different. The more I thought about it though, I think they would make an excellent team.
Nate's stories creep me to the deep and back! Well, how about a first ever(at least I think it would be a first ever) 4 author 1 book collaboration? Lee, Garton, Strand and Kenyon. Now I'm just getting crazy!!!

I could read anything that Ed lee and Wrath James white did together. They could keep collaborating and I would be content. I would think it would be cool to see him pair up with Monica J. O'Rourke too. If you haven't heard of her, grab Suffer the Flesh immediately!! Or Charlee Jacob.
Obviously if we are talking all time I would throw in Lovecraft and of course Laymon.
Wow, that's quite a list! Yes, it would be cool to collab with any of the above, but as much fun as I've had collabbing in the past, the notion kind of changes when one gets older. It's a lot harder in other words. But who knows what the future holds? I'd probably bend over backwards to collab on a Lovecraft pastiche with John Shirley (he's a big HPL fan too.) Oh, and as for Jeff Strand (GREAT writer) he and his wife were just interviewed the St. Pete Times--very cool interview.
A long time ago John Pelan and I talked about diong a sequel to GOON (even had a semi-outline) but, lo, I think I'm "wrestlered" out for the time being.
Someday, sure, I might collab again. (Does anyone have a time-machine that I could use to get younger?) Later!
