Favorite Lee book?
Hmmm, As cliche' as it may sound, I'm going with "The Infernal Series", and "Black Train". Although.... "Slither", "Monstrosity", "Messenger", "In The Year of Our Lord 2202" (SUPER AWESOME!), "The House" and "Love Letters From the Rain Forest" are also right up there! LOL. (Really narrowed it down didn't I?) Point is, it's ALL been great! Loved "Brides of the Impaler" and "Golem" too! Can't wait for more, keep up the awesome work Mr. Lee! And Thank you!
The first book that I knowingly read by Lee was The Bighead, and as such it ranks as one of my favorites. The first book I actually read by Lee, though, was Dahmer's Not Dead, which I remember loving at the time but it's been over a decade since I read it so I don't know if it'll still hold up. Haha. My favorite would have to be The Stickmen, and anything with The Writer character in it. And The Ushers collection is one of my favorite collections period. By any author.
Wow, thanks hugely for the kind words. I suspect that one day I'll write a sequel to my title story "The Ushers," and--if I haven't mentioned it previously, my Writer character will appear in at least one more piece, my down-the-road head-humping finale THE LAST HEADER. (However, I don't think I'll have the heart to kill him!)
And, believe me, I love my fans! Also--I forgot--The Writer will also be the protagonist in Bighead's Autopsy, whenever I get the friggin time to write it!

Header 2 all the way for me. It's hard to beat slapstick horror that's that well-paced. Though The House is a cool exercise in haunted house horror.
Good to hear that the Writer will be coming back. Hopefully he survives, as it's fun to have some poor bugger wandering the world stumbling into one horrific situation after another through little fault of his own. Plus it's hard not to smile when he's trying to communicate with simple folk.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on Header 2. Actually--and I regret not doing this--at the end of Header 2, I was going to have Helton toss the camera's memory cards out the window of the truck because he didn't need them anymore. And none other than The Writer was going to come walking along, finds the memory cards, and thinks "Gee, I think I'll put these in my camera and see what's on them..." But, unfortunately, I decided not to and I'm not sure why.
First off, I'm new here so, Hello Everyone! As far as my favorite Ed Lee book goes. As of now I'd say The Bighead. I've just discovered Mr. Lee's masterful works recently. In just the last month I've read The Bighead, The Teratologist, City Infernal, The House and currently reading Flesh Gothic. Along with a few Jack Ketchum books for good measure.
Great that you've come to the board, Kerry (and what a great screen name!) Thanks much for your support and kind words! And, Bighead is a fun book and I hope you like my upcoming works as well. Thanks!

Operator B. It was fan-tastic! my other favorites are all your other books. Although Operator B is quickly being taken over by Trolley 1852 as I read it now! Im going to Killer Con is September and I see you will be there as well. Any chance I can get a couple books signed?? Also, we have a home set up for you at the Slaughterhouse forums! Hope I see you there! from a hugh fan, Chuck Rios www.chuckrios.com www.chuckrios.wordpress.com twitter: @chuckrios
Chuck: thanks very much for your kind words. If I'd had any gumption or brains I would've turned Op B into a mainstream novel years ago. Will I sign books for you at Killer? Of course! I'm very much looking forward to seeing you there!
