Halfway through Frenzy. This is Rex Miller's second book. His writing style has become fairly typical. The great "raised conciousness/world view" shown at the beginning of SLOB has largely fizzeled into plot-driven keyboard tapping. I can see I have plenty of blood ahead of me in this novel. It remains fairly readable. However, the book bases it's plot on what is still a tabu subject, abuse of an underage girl. Pretty much nobody wants to read about this stuff. As pedestrian as the writing style has become, I have become interested in getting a copy of T. Winter-Damon's REX MILLER: THE COMPLETE REVELATIONS. I just can't get over that title...........
I've just finished GOON and You Are My Everything, both are wonderfully disgusting. I am eagerly awaiting my copies of Header 2,Gast,and Family Tradition.
Sounds like quite a reading list, Southern Blood! There are a number of Edward Lee titles I have read only once years ago. It could be time to read GAST again. I have stared at my copy of HEADER 2 long enough. Time to dive in!!

Just finished Tom Piccirilli's The Cold Spot and Lee's Haunted House. Today I started Monstrosity. Also on the pile are the two new Lee collections and limited editions of Dahmer's Not Dead, Sleep Disorder and Creekers. I almost don't know where to start.
Wow, I couldn't be more flattered by all the Lee being read here! Thanks much. Typical me, yesterday I re-read HPL's "He." It kicks ass every time! Later, all!
Currently reading HEADER 2, and am hesitant to say it but here goes...it is better, IMO, than the original! Amazing story! Lee put a lot into this one. What happens in the Winnebago is extreme to the max! Don't know where he came up with that idea, and don't want to know, but it is so grotesque, don't know whether to laugh or barph! Bob
I finished Header 2 yesterday and loved it. I ripped through Family Tradition this morning! This story was awesome! I could not put it down! Now it's time to take a train ride to GAST.

Finished Brain Cheese Buffet and Sleep Disorder. My favorites here were Grub Girl, The Baby, Dritiphilist and Eyes Left. Now I'm taking a little break from Lee, reading Blood Oath from David Morrell. Then probably Succubi or Creekers.

Currently reading Brain Cheese Buffet and am loving the ever living Hell out of it. These shorts are all new to me -Being they were released in various chaps that were just to costly for me to obtain at the time.-
I've thus far read Mr. Torso, Miss Torso, Grub Girl in the Prison of Dead Women, The Dritiphilist, and Makak. All of them are just fucking amazingly crazy to me!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only ones on the same line are Wrath James White, Ryan Harding, Monica O'Rourke and John Pelan but, Ed's work will always be king in my heart. Not only is his work as extreme as the others, he just keeps pumping out title after title of quality work to always keep his fans entertained. High praise to a mighty writer!!!
Thanks VERY MUCH for the generous words, Harvester. Stuff like that makes this very peculiar job worth it many times over! Me, I'm re-reading The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, which, like most of HPL, gets better each time I read it.
Reading the INNSWICH HORROR. Another top notch effort! TROLLEY is my favorite but this book is a bunch of fun. good thing Deadite Press is releasing it. Jeff Burk is doing us all a good turn by making this stuff available.

I was about a third into China Mieville's squid-tacular KRAKEN when I picked up Ed's GOING MONSTERING on the way to work and of course I couldn't resist cracking it open on the bus and ended up reading the whole thing that evening. I intended to get back into KRAKEN but I had been put into the mood so I'm now reading HEADER 2 and intend to get back to KRAKEN after that. I had my reservations about this sequel but I have to say the story is awesome so far. Gorgeous book even in its trade hardcover incarnation, too.

Recently finished Brain Cheese Buffet and the only story that ALMOST made me sick to my stomach. Yes, it is The Dritiphilist! I usually read these stories and just laugh, but this one was difficult to get through. Thanks Lee for grossing me out!! And I hope you do it again (and again, and again)!!

I'm currently reading a few things...Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell while waiting for The Burning Land. The Prefect by Alastair Reynolds, and of course need to finish up The Golem and The Black Train.
