Jim, nothing wrong with being old school. I don't have a facebook, I don't have a smart phone, I don't use GPS. It's admirable in this day and age to want to read an actual hardcover. I just buy them and keep them mint. I 95% of the time read new books on paperback or kindle. You should buy the paperback and then re-read it when you get the hardcover. I'm pretty sure that ALL profits from ALL formats go to Pic. If you double or triple dip, you are just helping Tom that much more.

I'm so happy that everyone is enjoying this book so much! It was an honor to be a part of this project and seeing the reader response (both positive and negative) is wonderful.
I'm not sure what the status is on the hardcover (Sinister Grin is releasing it) but I know the hold-up is getting all the signature sheets signed. There are ten people signing it and getting the sheets sent around to everyone is taking some time.
And yes, ALL profits from ALL formats go to Pic. Every author, artist, and publisher involved did this as benefit and aren't taking any of the proceeds.
Yeah. Reading a paperback when the hardcover is coming is just like jacking off to porn in the afternoon. Then wifie-poo comes home ready to give you a big slobbery blowjob and jump on top................. You just got to be up for the big game.

Yes, signature sheets were a big part of the hold-up. It doesn't seem like a big deal to sign your name about 500 times or however many it was, but it does take awhile, and then you have to find the time to package and mail them. I would think Bryan Smith has them sent to Texas now, though, and it should be easier for Shane, Nate, and Wrath to get together to sign them.
As Jeff said, it has been fun to see the feedback on the book and we appreciate everyone's support (and patience) with this project!
Hmm, I'm not sure about that. We signed a few hundred of those sheets, but I don't know exactly how many, or if that was necessarily approximate to the preorders.
That is such a bizarre number that I read it and could not believe that many copies got pre-ordered. Could well be. It's for a great cause. And should be a fun read, from all reports...
After I posted that 734 I went back and pretended like I was gonna buy another one and in the URL it still said 734 so I'm thinking that is the item number. It would be nice if I was wrong though.
Just got a trade paperback copy. I am in the middle of SPLATTERSPUNK and the short story collection DARK TESTAMENT and the collection DREAD IN THE BEAST. It's tough but I think I will hold off until I actually finish one of these other books!
The first two-thirds were what you would expect from the respective authors. The last third of the book was like a WTF moment. While I liked the book, I wish the last third would have gone another way.
Damn, I know Shane said the projected release date but, as usual, I've forgotten. As for the number of sig sheets, it did seem like a lot but I'm thinking it was about 500. At any rate, I'm glad the book is doing well; it couldn't be for a better cause!
From Shane on April 12 - I know this book is taking forever. It took a long time to get those signature sheets done. But everything is done and with the printer now. Books will be shipped later this month. Just waiting on the books now! I really appreciate everyone being so patient. I didn't expect for it to take nearly this long.
I actually had to step away from Sinister Grin to focus on my writing. Sixty-Five Stirrup Iron Road is my last project.

They are numbered? Well that's a bonus, I thought Sigs only. Shit man, number 5 that's pretty cool. I wonder if Kresby managed to sell his ass again and snag number one, shit that dudes got so many number 1 copies that the elastic has worn out in his asshole and now he's got to wear a man sized diaper to stop himself leaking all over the place.
I just hope that it sold good and Tom is doing well. I would love a sequel! The weird thing that I can't understand and maybe Staynes, Ryan, or Ed can help me out, is that on the back slip cover the top says 65 (obviously because of the title), but at the bottom it has the Sinister Grin logo centered and underneath that it has a more "smiley" sinister grin logo with the number 5 to the immediate right. If you take the slip cover off, it has #5 stamped on the actual back of the book. If Shane did this with every book, wouldn't that make it very expensive to make? Just curious.

Right, I think I got this one. Ok see I don't have my copies yet so can't confirm this, but from what I heard they were not numbered. From using my really big powers of deduction the number 5 you speak of could be the fact that it's their 5th book in the Rictus Grin series. 1. The Killings 2. Ash Street 3. What Happns In The Darkness 4. Prey Drive 5. 65 Stirrup Iron Road
Ok I can confirm this cause I just slipped of Monica O'Rourkes Jacket and seen she has a big number 3 printed on her ass.
So I'm sorry to say fella that you ain't number 5 after all. But you don't want to be tied to a number damn it, you're a free man. Infact if I were a betting man I'd say that what you got is actually number 1, the first one to get signed and the first one they packed up and sent out. Cause you my friend, you is special.
Sarcasm aside, thanks Jack. I didn't see how I could be #5 anyways because I didn't order it the day it was released. I was actually depressed to see that number. I'll try and get the first four of the Rictus Grin series now. I'll check your store first. I'm not special my friend, "you is special".

Wahaha, we here in the Ed Lee click all be special.
As for my store, call me an Anus for turning down business but none of those books are sold out yet from Sinister Grin Press themselves, so I'd sugest you head there way and help sell some of them fuckers out and maybe save yourself some postage money. Of course if you did want to buy them from me that's good too. Cause as you know all proceeds from Jizzlefinger books go straight the fuck back in to Jizzlefinger books . I may have holes in my Jeans and a 14 year old car... but I got a lot of books. Can I get a Goddamn! or a Hell Yeah!

Hey man that's awesome. I started watching it just to see how you did it but I had to turn it off cause I ain't read the book yet. I can only read my Siction in a signed hardcover you hear me? Yeah paperbacks are fine to get the authors known about and stuff and considering the profits from this one are going to Tom the more sales the better. But for me paperbacks and ebooks and shit take away from the books menace. But I ain't got long to wait now cause my copies should be with me on Wednesday.
But kudos to you for doing the review man, and good to put a face to the name. I'll head back and check out the full video just as soon as I've done with it myself...
Thanks, Jack. I missed out on the hardback; had a rough year. I don't mind a paperback. I can live with ebooks, as a last resort. And, for those who don't know, I also made a video about Lovecraft's legacy, in which I talk about Ed's Lovecraft books. Can't wait to review Header 3! (Hint. Hint.)
Erik
