Had a blast at the movie premiere! Hung with Lee and Peteboiler (glad to finally meet him) and Kelly Laymon. The movie was AWESOME...the first scene is an eye-opener, heh heh. Pretty decent acting...teh bartender ruled...and TEH BIGHEAD was as I though he'd look. The guys who played DICKY and BALLS were hilariously sick...and the women were pretty darned hot. An A+ night all around. |

Oh hot damn! What a movie! It was fantastic to see everyone again! Lee, as always, Bob, Tony, everyone! I had a blast. Thank you goes out to everyone for the best damn two days ever for a premier. Yes, the entire event really went great, and was even better since so many board folks were there: Peteboiler, Chuck, Tony, Liquidnoose and his very cool wife, plus Kelly Laymon, subtly outrageous as always. Also, John Skipp and Cody Goodfellow showed up, very cool guys! The movie is a 25 minute teaser that the producers made as finance bait, and it looks outstanding, looks like it was shot on a half million dollar 35mm film camera. (These guys kicked in a lot of their own money for this, not just the Kickstarter dough.) The cast and major crew members are all wonderful folks (and the guy who played Bighead is HUGE!) They showed it at a small theater but had to have 2 showings due to tremendous attendance. I was particularly imprssed by acting performances; these weren't just wannabe actors, they're the real thing. Both murder scenes were VERY effective, and my compliments especially to the actresses for perfomances that were so authentic as to be disturbing. Everyone was perfectly cast and their acting skills really gave my characters a lot of depth. All in all, the event turned out much better than I imagined. And the next day, the signing was packed and a ton of fun. This was the first time I'd ever been to the infamous Dark Delicacies bookstore, and lemme tell you, it's THE COOLEST BOOKSTORE I've ever seen! Del Howison and his wife are fantastic. What Ed said...lol. The movie was great! The signing the next day was great! It was lots of fun getting to meet the cast and those involved in making the movie. The whole weekend went really well, and it was great getting to relax and take in the sights. When I figure out how to post pics here, I will. Tony |
