Lee Book?

I can't believe it, I had bought "Of Pigs & Spiders" off e-bay months ages ago. I thought it had got lost in the post or soimething. It turned up yesterday date posted was the 2nd Feb. No idea where it's been for a month, but I'm chuffed it's here now.
I just got into ed ward lee's books and have only read about 5 or 6 books but, I would have to say messenger is my favorite. I also love the short story dead girls and loving it.
jdamen: good to see you around again, and thanks for posting your list. For what's it worth, the first book on my next contract is part 3 of my "Infernal" mythos, called HOUSE INFERNAL, which I'll be starting next week. (Got to do my taxes first!) I'm very gunned up about it. I hope things are going well for you, and thanks for your support!
To tell the truth i have only read Backwoods, so that gets my vote! I thought it was great and plan on picking up a couple more books next weekend when we hit Borders

Ive only read a few...Monstrosity
The Backwoods
Messenger
Flesh Gothic
City Infernal
Infernal Angel (100 pages to go)
But I've gotta say if you liked the more gruesome parts of "the Backwoods" get ready for a pleasant surprise as thats the least gruesome of his books I've read. My Favorite vote is limited by what i could find but so far tied between "Flesh Gothic" and "Infernal Angel" .
Thanks for the tip. Obviously Lee's reputation preceeds him and i had heard that some of his previous work was a lot more extreme. I do plan on hunting as much down as possible. Borders had a couple of his books so i will start on those. The more extreme the better, just as long as there is a great story there

I'm afraid some of his most extreme is limited edition only, too extreme for the masses in other words. But you can get Goon, Bighead, and Family Traditions, through proper channels. Some of his other work like "Ever Nat" you might be lucky to find on E-bay...speaking of which, I bought my second copy of Ever Nat on E-bay yesterday...only 298 more to go

Being a foodie I loved Family Tradition But partners in chyme showed up in the mail today... I haven't cracked it open yet but I have very high hopes for that one.
asimmons: you might be interested to knock that when I got the idea for "The Driphilist" I standing at the corner of 5th Ave. and Jackson Street in Seattle, waiting for the bus. I looked into the bus shelter and saw a homeless guy scraping vomit into a plastic bag with a piece of cardboard. Instantly, then, the idea for the story came into my head. After I got the idea, I remember standing there near the shelter chuckling aloud to the extent that passersby were giving my odd looks. It's the first story I'm actually ashamed of myself for writing!

Just finished The Pig and The House and LOVED it. I have to add EVER NAT to my list of favorites, that was just crazy! I'm reading Dahmer's Not Dead right now and after that I will be reading The Stickmen. I am going to order Teratologist next, can anyone give me some reviews for this book?

Teratologist is what you get when you take two of the sickest writers living today and stick them in a room and don't let them out till the Devil himself appears and tells you enough is enough.
I absolutely loved it. And it's pretty short so you can read it every night before bed time
Glad you liked 'Ever Nat' that's one of my top picks too.

Bump. Erm the list is endless,
My first Lee story was the Pig and it is still up there. Close 2nd is Family Traditions,
Goon, Header/Header 2 and the Bighead. I also liked Going Monstering and his short collection Brain Cheese Buffet. (I like all Deadite's collections but BCB is the best)
Oh and how did I forget Haunter Of The Threshold.
God damn Mr Lee how come you make it so hard to pick one title.
CREEKERS!!!! I just bought a lettered edition of this one, along with a lettered Header 2. They are both easily two of my tops, but seriously, Innswich, Header, The Bighead, Ever Nat and The Pig/The House, Portrait, oh, and of course GAST are all up there too, in the can't pick section.
Ultimately though, I'd say that Header 2 is a book that warms my heart. It seriously makes me happy to be alive.
I can't fucking wait for Header 3!!! I hear Larry Roberts is producing it. I hope so much that he dows a massive scale lettered edition of this one, on par with Thrust, Neverland and Lake Mountain.
Maybe put it in a head that you have to stick your cock in in order to open it and get the book.
Thanks, all of you, for such great comments over such a period of time! Header 3 is coming along great. 4 people have died quite grimly already, while the main characters--3 rich assholes from NYC on a road trip--have just walked into Krazy Sallee's, the same backwoods strip joint from Creekers. Some serious fun in about to begin!
This is the goddamn holy grail, I wonder if a horribly disfigured Philip Straker will be sitting at the bar... Maybe he didn't die, and has been living as the town wacko for the last twenty years.
Maybe the rich pricks will piss on Vicky's grave and heel fuck em up.
