We've just launched a Kickstarter site to raise money to make a Bighead short film which we then hope to turn into a Bighead Feature. We've been working closely with Edward Lee to get the script just right and to keep it true to his vision. We have a number of Hollywood Professionals on board (including us!), a healthy camera package, and the will to make this movie the way it should be. We just need the cash to pay for actors, location fees, film permits, Special Effects Make-up, and buckets upon buckets of fake blood. Wow, I've been so damn busy, this is the first chance I've had to go to the link! For those of you who've donated, thanks HUGELY. I'll be donating myself when I'm done on the board. Eventually, there will be a short clip of me talking about the prospect of the film, and some of my thoughts, etc. The script is very good, and they even let me tweak it! Like the one gentleman said in the clip, horror films play it too safe these days. Where is the home for uniquely hardcore horror these days? Well, I'm hoping that the Bighead gets made and then promptly BUILDS that home! Hell, I'll buy the stage blood myself! And the stage vomit, the stage hot poop, even the stage semen! I can't imagine anything cooler nor more offensive and objectionable that The Bighead as a movie faithful to the book. So let's all light some black candles, draw the sign of Azazoth on the wall, and chant some intercessions to Yog-Sothoth, and pray that this happens! Later! Edward Lee |

PS--speaking of stage vomit, does anybody recall a movie (a low budget horror flick) where in the commentary they reveal that their stage vomit involved barley soup, and then they go on to give the entire recipe? I wish I could remember, cuz the fake vomit in that flick looked GREAT. We'll need to whip some up for The Bighead! |

It might be a good idea to send a press release type thing to all sorts of horror websites (bloody-disgusting, dreadcentral, shocktillyoudrop etc.) on the internet. Most of them would probably cover it and so bring more attention to the Kickstarter. The people who browse this board may not be enough to come up with the required funds. |

Just donated two more times. Once before I watched Ed's new video (where he hilariously jokes about a $50 memory card only lasting a few minutes) and once after. Since I live in Idaho, I'll probably never get to meet Ed but I really hope that this movie gets made and I can somehow make it to a screening. Best of luck! |

As soon as I figure out how much I can afford, I will definitely donate. Unfortunately, my money is slowly running out until my school loans come through. Until then the majority of my saved money is going to KillerCon. I think I can scrape at least a hundred dollars or more, though.
