Well looks like publishers learned nothing from the music industry. The amount of greed, and lack of common sense is just astounding.

Witchwater is just another example in the long line of stupid mistakes publishers are making. When something new comes around you need to cater to everyone, Not just the hardcore fans willing to pay a premium price for a hard cover version. Oh sure in time the ebook/paperback version will come along sooner or later. Brian Keen or his publisher is doing the same thing. New release only available at a premium price.

Just like witchwater, the ebook version of Brian Keene's new one will end up on the internet long before the "official release". Of course they will complain about the version already on the net, because in there minds, it should only be available if and when THEY are ready.

It takes no time to turn any book into a ebook. Lots of people with lots of free time will gladly release it. So get upset, get mad, refuse to accept the fact if you dont provide the product in a format the masses want, and a price that is reasonable, someone else will do it for you.

So Mr Publisher hows that working out for ya, releasing affordable product in a format the masses want, so long after the original makes it to market? Now your authors are paying double for your stupidity, you cost them not only short term but long term sales. I feel bad for the workers of such STUPID people. Now they are out of work.

Of course you will never admit your stupid mistakes. You will simply blame piracy. Here is a clue, If offer a product at reasonable prices in a format people want, THEY WILL BUY IT!! Instead, you will just complain and blame everything else.

Yes this is my last post. I feel bad for all the authors. They are the ones that will suffer the backlash. Fans will give up and move on to other stuff, if they can not buy the book at a decent price in a format they desire. Many Many others are giving us fans of reading plenty of material to read on our nooks/kindles. Used to LOVE reading lee's stuff. Got so frustrated I gave up and moved on. Even passed on the ebook version of witchwater. No thanks. Amazon is full of ebooks I can buy at a decent price, I will go support those authors. I will suggest them to others in ebook forums.

Best of luck and God Bless............Oh I may still troll this site. Im done posting. So trying to engage me in any debate is pointless. Love it or Hate it, Its my opinion and I stand firmly behind it.

What's that awful smell in here? Did someone die and then did someone else eat that dead person and then vomit it up and then did a cat come along and eat the vomit-comprised-of-dead-person and then fart? Because it smells bad... maybe it's just me :?

Dude, calm down.
I'm one of those publishers. No one is blaming piracy around here, especially not me. And Deadite Press is doing just fine (we're not going anywhere for a long time).

Just take your straw man arguments and go home.

Witch Water/Witch house is supposed to come out May of this year. It's really not a big deal waiting especially since you do say there is plenty to read out there. Best thing read something until it's available. Part of me is the same. I want instant gratification. I want my books like a microwave diner. I want them too! but while waiting I've read virtually his entire back catalog of books, plus there are many other great writers to read.

Personally I don't think you realize the amount of work that goes into publishing. Almost seems like you think, writer sit at computer...type..type...book magically appears on paper and e-books are made with a sprinkle of fairy dust.

Sure are writers like that, look at 90% of the crap that is free in the horror section for kindle on Amazon.

Quality comes in time and Lee is fuckin' worth it! :v

I think Tym is just looking for another free book. I wonder if he took the last one offered to him?
