Fright Night Remake

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but I thought it worth pointing out.

In the original 'Fright Night' Brewster's best friend is 'Evil' Edward Thompson. But in the remake they went and changed his name to... 'Evil' Edward Lee.

I watched it the other day and thought it must be a shout out, cause that's a bit of a random name change if it ain't homage to the Master.

I thought it was a boring film, liked the original much better, also part 2 was good.

Yeah, I'd heard about that, and it seems feasible that its a reference to me. Couple years ago I met Chris Sarandon at Horrorfind who starred in the original and also starred in The Sentinel and Resurrected, two of my fave horror flicks. Very cool guy. Also, a friend of my girlfriend's son said that in one of the Silent Hill video games there's a King Lane, a Koontz Lane, a Ketchum Lane, and a Lee Lane. I dig that!

My husband and I laughed out loud at the movie theater when the teacher is doing roll call, and says "Ed? Edward Lee??" I watched it on Showtime recently and laughed again!

It's not that bad of a movie...it's not great, but we still found it entertaining!

Yep you're right.
Saw the trailer of Recall. Looks nice

But still think nothing beats the original from Verhoeven.
