Folks, a million apologies for not being on the board for so long; I've actually been back in FL since last Wednesday and have only had time just now to get on the board. And now I gotta go BACK to MD Wednesday cos a realtor's coming to look at the house which I'm going to have to sell soon just to pay the lofty assisted living/private nurse bills. They're keeping my mother there for another month to see if her condition improves; if not (and I doubt that it will; if anyting it's gotten worse) I have to put her back in the nursing home. I'll tell ya, this dementia is an awful affliction; my mother doesn't even know who I am most of the time, and her confusion is so profound that often she forgets that it''s actually NURSES who are tring to help her and instead believes they are attacking her; hence, she reacts with violence. Can't put it any more eloquently than this: it's fucked up shit. And right now I'm so exhausted from doing stuff here that I gotta put my old ass to bed. But I'll be back on the board tomorrow for sure, to answer the rest of your questions. You all are the BEST fans an author could ever ask for!

I also had a familymember with Dementia.
It's horrible, it's one of the worst things.
Reality is alway's much more horrible than you can imagine.
I wish you and your mother, from the bottem of my heart, very much strength.
Makes you realise how precious good health is.
