As usual, a million apologies for not being on the board much. Over the past month I've been out of town twice (once to Hunt Valley Maryland for HORRORFIND and then, again, to Maryland, to visit my mother) all the while juggling my HOUSE INFERNAL deadline. As for HORRORFIND, it was absolutely fantastic. It was my first time actually selling books at my own table (which was a bit daunting) but I wound up selling tons of stuff and signing tons of books for fans as well. Was probably the best convention I've been to (plus, the brunette from HOSTEL was at the table to my left...which was very cool.) I hope you all can make it next year; it really is a great con. As for HOUSE INFERNAL, I'm on the home stretch now and am getting very pissed off 'cos I don't want the book to end. I should be done in two weeks. I couldn't be happier with it. The most aggravating thing about deadlines, for me at least, is whenever I'm nearing completion of a novel, I always seem to get ideas for future novels, which is a pain in the butt. I think I previously mentioned a Lovecraftian novel that I'll write down the road; that's what's happening now: I keep getting more ideas for that while I'm trying to finish HOUSE. It's gotten to the point that I wish I could start the Lovecraft book next. (But in truth, it probably won't be for another year or so; I can promise that it'll be cool, though.) It's encouraging, however, to at least know that I'm not too old to keep getting ideas that I'm enthused about.

PPS--I just saw the first draft of THE BIGHEAD screenplay, and it's really a good job.

BIGHEAD screenplay?!? BIGHEAD movie?!? Good job putting that as a PPS. I hope they'll make this hardcore though. I want to see gigantic cocks thrust through girls' backs. Even attempting to make that film with an R-Rating in mind would be ridiculous.

Wetbones: yeah, the first draft of the SP was pretty good, and it's going through another draft now. It's pretty damn hardcore, too. What the writer told me is he was writing it "malleably" for an R-rating and an NC-17 rating. We'll see what happens; I'm pretty excited about it.

PS--as a Lovecraft fan you'll appreciate this: I've lately been re-reading HPL's stuff. The one piece I never read was--believe it or not--At The Mountains of Madness. It's so good I can't see straight! Now I'm kicking myself for never having read it!

I think Disney should option 'The Bighead' and turn the loveable hydropceph into a new character for their theme parks. Let's see a 'G' rating.
