Oh Yeah, I've got a novel on the market... and it feels fine!
It's been quite a while since I posted anything here. That's obvious, I guess. I have no real excuses. My Real workaday-life has kept me pretty busy. And, too, I'm not much of a journal writer (a fact I think I've mentioned before...). When I take time out for writing, I'm pretty much always working specifically on a project, not social networking. Nothing against it, it's just not my "thing". Generally, I tend to write with a goal in mind, and mostly that goal is to produce a story. I should have maybe dropped a paragraph here or there to share news of my writing progress or my thoughts about the state of the publishing industry as seen from ground-level, but I didn't. Sorry, Sports-Fans.
So here's the latest that's going on...
As of mid-April 2010, my latest novel, KRYMSIN NOCTURNES, finally saw publication through that wonderful, vampire-centric indie publisher, BY LIGHT UNSEEN MEDIA. The novel is available directly through order from BLUM [ http://bylightunseenmedia.com/kn.htm ] and ALSO through:

Regarding KRYMSIN NOCTURNES, I'm proud of the novel on quite a few levels, none the least of which is the maturity and focus of its execution, displaying my growth as a writer, but also due to the story's sheer entertainment factor. The novel had quite an evolution and proved to be a thorny child as it developed, but, in the end, it became a worthy project that brought me much pride! Besides, it's really a fun read!
I'm 90,000-plus words into NOCTURNES IN PURGATORY, the next QUINN adventure, and I must say that it's shaping up to be a BIG one: dramatic, violent, surprising, darker than its predecessors, drawing on a large historical background, with a big cast of characters -- each with their own backstory -- and the story will serve to explain a lot about the mythical history of vampire-infested Borrego Bay! I look for this one to be completed by mid-to-late summer this year.
