NIGHTFLESH is at last Unleashed! My Newest Novel!
It's taken a long time, but this one is finally in print! An adventure into the secrets and hidden history of the Moon-Chosen vampires!
NIGHTFLESH: Volume One of THE PORPHYRRICON
ISBN: 0-595-41914-3
Vampires exist. They call themselves “the Moon-Chosen”. The U.S. government and the United Nations governing council have kept the secret, desperately hiding it from the general population.
The last thing they want is for the bloodsuckers to go war…
Klaw Cavanaugh is a vampire and sometime assassin masquerading among human society. He owes an uneasy allegiance to Nero Serranova, a vampire prince with a bloody plan to shred the secret truce between humans and vampires.
Betrayed and enraged, Cavanaugh enlists the aid of fellow vampire Lucraysha Radcleff, herself haunted by a past she is driven to atone for, and rogue intelligence agent Jordan Pride, an operative of the Urban Crimes Crisis Control Force’s “Freak Show” unit, which covertly handles vampire crime.
Josiah Kreed, a policeman within the rival Demonic community, has Klaw and associates under surveillance with orders to terminate them if their investigation threatens the power of the Demonics.
Klaw knows Serranova’s diabolical plot that can only end in disaster for his species. He rebels, recruiting the other adventurers. Reluctant allies, they combat the covert conspiracy on the streets of metropolitan Borrego Bay's largest city in an explosion of murder and mayhem!
This is the one you NEED to have! CHECK IT OUT at Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble Online!

It's amazing to me how slowly things move in the publishing community... it's a wonder anything happens at all.
It's important for writers to get FEEDBACK about their work, whether that feedback comes from a professional source or from a fan-based source, and when you see your book listed and virtually uncommented-upon in a bookstore listing, online or otherwise, it makes you feel like your work has been ignored and all your efforts getting that baby written and put to press where for nothing.
So, after months available online, my novel NIGHTFLESH finally caught itself a review over at Barnes and Noble Online!
from a reviewer named "David R. McKay" over at AllReaders, THIS appeared:
"Horror-Suspense author Joseph Armstead delves deeper into the vampire noir mythology he's created, starting with the novel Nocturnes & Neon, with this violent morality tale played out on the streets of his haunted bayside metropolises New Barrington and West Sussex. The story centers around a struggle for power within the tightly-structured vampire community in a U.S.A. where the government acknowledges the existance of the creatures, but still keeps it secret from the American public. An introspective and melancholy rogue Moon-Chosen vampire named Klaw Cavanaugh becomes embroiled in the murderous schemes of his wealthy, ruthless patriarch, one Nero Serranova as Serranova hunts for a forbidden grimoire that gives the user power over elemental demons. Along the way, Cavanaugh, a wonderfully anti-heroic character creation, joins forces with a vampire warrior-woman, a species-bigotted government agent, and a demon (literally!) cop who may be working both sides of the fence. This is energetic, adventurous storytelling and I hope that Mr. Armstead's 'Porphyrricon' has many more chapters! Highly recommended!"
