It amazes me that people still have to be told this. I've liked the three longer works of Wrath's that I've read (Succulent Prey, Orgy Of Souls, and the awesome Resurrectionist). I've liked some of Wrath's short stories and I've not liked some of Wrath's short stories. But I know I'm going to get something different with each tale. And I can see Wrath trying new things and going different directions, and that's really what's important. Too many writers today (and actors, too) try to skate through on doing the same stuff over and over and that gets pretty damn boring.

The two things I like about Wrath's work and writing that differentiate it from other extreme horror writers are he always introduces provocative ideas about things like religion, race, and sex, and he is brutally honest. Not afraid to tell it like it is and say things most people won't.

I totally agree with everything said. I get most of my books from Amazon and the amount of people who give bad reviews because of "too much violence" or "too much blood" I respect peoples opinion and all but READ THE DESCRIPTION. Why would you read something you know is going to upset you then post a negative review because of it. If you want horror that's "nice" you've got twilight stuff. :|
The reason I like reading authors like Mr White and Mr Lee is because their stuff is provocative and nasty and I know I like that. It doesn't mean I'm mad or nasty I just like stuff that pushes the boundaries and dares to do something different. There is far too much stuff that is all the same just under a different name. Stuff that plays it safe. I like something different and challenging and I'm thankful to authors like Wrath James White and Edward Lee for allowing me and others to enjoy reading. :n

Thx you for writing books like this.
They are on the edge sometimes, but it's a fun read.
Let those people who criticize you, keep reading stephen king, dean koontz books.
Those are the boring horrornovels.
You can say what you want about your books, boring isnt' one of the words.
I know what to expect from your books, so i don't complain ;)
Loved Teratologist and book of 1000 sins.
His pain was your first novel i read and one scene with the mother almost made me throug up.
You are a very gifted writer and in the same league as Edward lee.
Now reading skinnz, wich is terrible in the good way.
Hope someday your books will be translated in dutch.
