Update on novelette #2 and the novel THE WICKED plus more!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give a quick update.

THE WICKED

To due several different reasons (all on me) THE WICKED will now be coming out early next year. It's coming along very nice, but I've dealt with a few different personal problems that really cut into the editing time for the novel. So that's where we are right now. Sorry about this everyone, but I wanted to keep you up to date on the status.

Surprise novelette #2

This is finished and at the printers right now. The proof from the printer should arrive in the next couple of days and then we'll be off in a few weeks. Stay tuned. With only 275 copies being printed, just like we did with ZERO, I don't believe it will stay in stock long.

Surprise novella release

Besides these two projects we have also been working on a novella that you will all dig. It won't be a part of the novella series, but it won't matter. This will be out early 2007 as well and it will be from an author we haven't worked with yet, but he's one of the biggest names we've had the pleasure to publish. I'm dying to tell you.

New novel release

We'll be starting a pre-order only project in the next few weeks. Similar to what we did with the novel BERSERK last year it will only be a two month order period. Again early 2007 release date, but the preorder period will start soon.

I know I know not a lot of details, but as most of you know I really don't like to announce or take pre-orders on something until it's closer to release when at all possible. Believe me the wait will be worth it.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. Thanks for supporting NEP everyone. Without you none of this would be possible.

Fantastic news all around, Don. Looking forward to a bunch of new books from NEP in the not-too-distant future.

And I almost forgot. Early 2007 will also see the release of Book 3 in The Assassin Series by Tim Lebbon. I've seen the 1st draft of it already. I can't even think of the right words to show you all how excited I am about this book. It rocks.

Plus much more news coming next year in regards to new releases. With your help I want to make 2007 the best year yet for NEP.

This sounds great, was just thinking things have been very quiet on the NEP front lately.

Not complaining but curious as to why the next novella released by NEP will not be part of the NEP Novella Series?

Book 3 of THE ASSASSIN SERIES will be released in early 2007

Looking forward to all the releases, itching to get THE WICKED into my hands, a new James Newman novel, doesn't get much better than that!

Don - sounds like '07 is going to be a big one for NEP! I better make sure I keep plenty of time available for the many hours of happy reading coming our way...

Hi James and James good to see you both here. Now don't be strangers anymore and stop by more often.

Tod, I can't get into the exact details of why it won't be in the novella series without giving away too much, but basically we wanted to do a little bit higher of a print run on it because of the author involved. And I hate when series print runs jump all around. I believe if you start with 450 limiteds in a novella series like we do, you should stay with 450 for every single release. Plain and simple.

Though I never mind nice comments obviously.
