The 1950s original The Thing is brilliant. The 1980s re-imagining by John Carpenter is brilliant. This new one? I'll watch it on dvd. |

I liked the new The Thing. There were some continuity issues at the beginning but it was an enjoyable movie. |

Allow me to introduce you to our new baby, Shelley. My wife saw her and couldn't leave her. What you don't see in the pic is the burns on her shoulder. To say that I'm pissed is an understatement. She's a sweetheart. Smart. Already has made herself at home. Skittish around men though. She prefers to be around my wife. |

Will try again... The shelter we got her from thinks that someone burned her. But I'm not quite so sure. They also say she's a dachshund rat terrier mix, but I'm willing to bet she's a miniature pinscher. Her tail and ears weren't docked like you see most in min pins. |

They've done 3 or 4 sequels and a tv show. A remake is the only thing left. Unfortunately, Hollywood just can't leave well enough alone. |

Supposedly the same guy who did League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is going to direct a "more gritty, realistic, documentary style re-imaging". Bradley Cooper is allegedly in talks to play Eric. |

What a fucking joke. By all accounts, Brandon Lee had a pretty good career ahead of him, he shines in this movie, dies because of an accident while filming, and now some asshole wants to piss on what little legacy he has. When people have "ideas" like remaking this, especially with Tatum or Sucky Mark, they should be bitch slapped from sea to shining sea.

I quit following the remake stuff when I heard that Bradley Cooper was in talks for the role. I like Cooper as an actor, but I don't think he could pull of what is required for the role of Eric. Brandon caught it and he had a hand in writing several of the scenes (according to David Schow). It's too bad he died. |
