Monday only has Murder in the First - the rest of the line up is awful and Tuesday nights are a wasteland. The Whispers sucks. Wednesday's are re-runs of Criminal Minds but that's about it. Then Thursday you have Aquarius up against Hannibal so I have to catch one or the other On-Demand. I can't wait for The Strain to come back - I need my Kevin Durand fix! Yes - FB is a time sink. Sometimes I just want to ditch it but it's the only way to keep up with some of my friends. I also get involved in far too many social/political discussions. |

Finished watching the first season of True Detective. Hmmm. I came into it on the back of a lot of hype, and part way through I wasn't feeling it, the same as everyone else. For me, it was purely a character study, and thankfully, it and they were somewhat redeemed at the end. "Everyone" is saying this second one is awful. I'll probably like that one.

I'm wondering about Hannibal, and whether it would have been cancelled if they'd brought the Tooth Fairy into the story, earlier. Damn, Armitage is compelling to watch, and it's good to see Rutina Wesley in there, too. |

All the reality stuff is driving me wild, and not in a good way. I have no idea how we're expected to believe it's legit. Even on cable it's chock full of fellas running around the countryside, pretending to steal from, and shoot one another. They're hiding in the bushes, and I'm shouting - Dude! I just watched Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes(1983) . What a great movie ! I haven't watched it in years, used to every year since I was a kid. I think I'm gonna try to find a copy to read for next year. A great Halloween movie indeed. |
