I remember being horribly confused about biscuits in the beginning, until I realized everyone was referring to something other than chocolate digestives, custard creams, Nice, rich tea, Jacobs Club, Penguins, bourbons, shortbread, Jammy Dodgers, Hob Nobs, ginger snaps and Blue Ribbons. |

For the first time in almost a month I feel optimistic. Been struggling with way too many issue's to go into here, but a huge one concerning work just might be solved. We had a major problem with a vendor sending us some material that wouldn't run, but we finally figured it out and are making product once again. I just might be able to sleep a whole night now. |

You want to be scared to death? Have a man walk into the bedroom coated in blood saying "something is wrong" Turns out Marks nose turned on like a faucet last night and he couldn't get it to stop for long enough to get scared and come get me in bed. I had him lean forward over our blood coated bathroom sink while holding his nose and cleaned the blood trail off of the floor leading to the bedroom. After about 15 minutes of me freaking out a bit and him freaking out a bit we got it to stop. We figured maybe the surgery had something to do with it and it was some kind of fluke scary thing. This morning at 6:50 the phone rang and it was him. His nose was doing it again. I told him to go to the doctor. He asked how was he suppose to do that with blood running down his face. I said do you want me to come get you. He said no I should be fine and that he was going to talk to his boss. UGH. He better go to the doctor. |

Went to my first opera. If you're going to base it off a greek myth about LOVE (Orpheus), make the main character sympathetic and put some effort into making the relationship between him and Eurydice seem real. That was the biggest contrivience in the opera. It was a class project and my professor was there. Death was named Princess. If they had stayed true to the way Orpheus had been written, I'd be making a slew of Mario jokes right about now. |

I wish I were home right now so I could be working on my post-apocalyptic ferris wheel story. Instead I'm sitting in the receiving office bored absolutely effin' stupid. I wish it were spring because we'd be busy and time would go quicker. |

I am at home right now, and I also wish I was working on my post-apocalyptic ferris wheel story. Instead I'm trawling through 100,000 words, searching for redundancies, and I keep coming across a particular character's mindset. He has feelin's, you see, strong feelin's that reflect his actions throughout the entire story. But how much of this do I express in his thoughts, and dare I say angst, in various situations without it becoming repetitive? I'm close to tears with frustration over it, to be honest.  Writing is hard.

Revealing a character by revealing their thoughts is sometimes too easy, and can become a trap. Revealing a character's inner self through their actions, and how other characters react to them, that is harder to do, but the writing is better. That has been my experience, anyway. And my ferris wheel story, currently called "In The Pot", went about four typewritten pages before I realized I needed to change my main character, and when I did that, the entire story changed and went off in a new, better direction. Love this stuff. |

Tony, it's one I finished a while ago, and let rest. And then, last November, I finished a first draft of something else, that drove me completely and utterly bat dung crazy and I thought oh jeeez, I need to put it aside for a while. So I picked up this one instead and figured I'd polish the heck out of it. So, I've been polishing, and polishing... and right now I'm at the point where I'm thinking a) It's the best thing EVAH! Or b) Just stop and put it away. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.  Or c) Somewhere in between.

I figured out that I am DEFINITELY not a fan of modern art. Had to due an essay on one of four artists (Kandinsky, Picasso, Mautisse, Nolde). I choose Kandinsky. The man was a lawyer before he became a painter. Guess what he writes as? I should still get a decent grade. Only two of us choose him. Spent an hour after class talking to him about it. And did I mention this: ?
