A friend of mine just got a new job. I was happy for him. Then I found out where he was working. It's a DoD contractor that has a very bad rep. Very same company that I almost ended up working for a few years back. Myself and a couple others are warning him about it, there are others (who haven't had the misfortune of dealing with this company) who are saying we're raining on his parade. |

Damn! I missed Cops. Whether my insomnia is acting up or not, I always wake up in the middle of the night to read/write and watch Cops at 4AM. It's like some weird ritual with me. I was over on Amazon, reading reviews and lost track of time. This actually makes me sad.

This is just so typical, and downright stupid. Why aren't people and politicians talking about the payroll tax cut extensions? Or the many other subjects that need to be addressed? |

I recently when to my daughter's school for parent/teacher interviews. I was looking at some of the work on the wall and one of the themes was "Global Citizens." For examples of Global Citizens they used Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, the usual suspects. They also had examples of Global non-Citizens and the examples were Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden and.....George W. Bush! |

They're making it sound like December is going to be like full blown winter where I am. I don't really care about the cold, but I'm not looking forward to my daily workout to be shoveling snow for the next four months.

Man, do I hate getting sick. It's worse than being on the toilet after a delivery and realizing there's no paper left in the entire house. All day yesterday I had the feeling I was getting sick. Almost every person I saw told me I looked crappy. I kept telling everyone I came in contact with that I wasn't getting sick. I felt it was an inner-war that I had to battle with the actual virus itself, as it wandered through my helpless body. (Now I'm getting carried away, but it sounds better). So, I just woke up and I'm sick. Let it be known from this day forth, that I curse every virus known to mankind.  Now, I need lots of chicken soup, pizza, books, a sponge bath from Eva, the fuzzy slippers that always make me miss those old, after school specials on tv ... |

Has anyone else ever seen those "My Drunk Kitchen" videos that are on YouTube? I had never seen this lady before, but I just watched the pizza episode, and couldn't stop laughing!
