I started Writ in Blood, the first of the Serenity Falls trilogy today. I'm halfway through, and I'm really enjoying it. I recommend it to just about anyone, great little story.

I'm in The House, by Bentley Little, who's one of the best: It reads a bit like Saul on acid (the bad late-60's death-cult kind), hooking up in a free-love word-jam with Michael Perkins (author of Evil Companions, one of the most controversial novels of all time, banned in the days of the flower-stuffed guns) in a strobe-light in front of a black-light poster of Danse Macabre-cover King. (That's a good thing, by the way...at least, I think)...) |

I somewhat shamefully admit that I once quit a third-shift job at Target because of Little's novel THE STORE. I just couldn't take it. I'd find myself all alone in the back warehouse on some errand or other, and I'd feel the dreadful presense of the "Night Managers"...it was just too much. DARKNESS DEMANDS, by Clark, is a great novel as well...very creepy, atmospheric stuff. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Oh, by the way, the butler did it...D'OH!  :

I just got done with John Saul's NightShade and Now I started Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door, It is actual a hard book to put down I will probably have it done by Monday. |

Just finished The Glory Bus by Laymon, which is of course an excellent read. I also highly recommend, "Riverside Blues" by Erik Tomblin. It is a novella that will stick with you for quite some time. I also just started, "Serenity Falls" by James Moore. |
