Its still my favorite Keene novel Craig. And thanks for the info on the CW2....where is it shown?

I'd have to say CW is probably my favorite Keene, as well. At least until I read Ghost Walk.

From what I've read on Brian's website, the guy is amazing, cranking out the entire first draft of a novel in four months. I think he said he writes almost 12 hours a day, and defintely at least 8 no matter what.

And I remember once I was happy when I got three short stories done in two weeks.

Comqueror Worms was a great fun read. Probably my 2nd favourite Keene book behind Dark Hollow.

I'll look forward to the free sequel but I think I'll wait til he has a few chapters up and read them at once.

I'm in a minority, not really liking the Rising or City of the Dead. In fact I was almost put off diggiing deeper into Keene's stuff after reading them. I'm glad I got his other stuff though. Some great stories and I really like how he uses mythological creatures in his stories.

I really liked conqueror worms. In fact, other than Keene's last book (Dark Hollow), I've pretty much enjoyed all his output. It's great that he's giving this free novel online, but the wait between chapters will be torturous as I usually try to read 50 - 100 pages per sitting.

Chapters 2 and 3 are both up on Brian's website now. I think he's doing a new chapter every Friday, part of his "Friday Freebie" section.

I really enjoyed this book. I've enjoyed all his books with the exception of Dead Sea. For some reason I just have not been able to get into this one despite starting it twice now. I'm reading his new book Ghost Walk right now and flying through it. Pretty fast read like all his books, with the exception of Dead Sea. I wasn't aware of a sequel but now that I am I'll definately have to try and check it out.
