Kellie took her state boards for nursing this past week and found out she passed. She is now officially a registered nurse.

Well said Laurel!

My wife was a "floor nurse" for many years. The problem with that was she worked second shift and I never saw her. She transferred to the O.R. which meant day work and worked there for about 10 years which made for some interesting dinner discussions.

After that she worked in Surgical Day Care for about another 10 years, thats the area where you go to for out patient surgery. For the past year she's worked in 'out-patient' admitting, her years of standing up and lifting have left her knee's in very bad shape so this is a good place for her to finish out her working years (unless they have lay offs, administration is usually the first to go).

She loves nursing but has had some problems with Doctors (verbal and even some sexual abuse) as well as the trials of working with other women. But all in all its been a great career for her.

I ate at one in Las Vegas. It was a steak and maybe one of the best ones I ever had.

What an accomplishment. As one who recently went back and got the degree he never finished, the amount of work involved is staggering.

Gratz to your wife Craig. Be prepared to hear all sorts of nasty stories, probably at the dinner table. My wife comes home with all sorts of stories about puss and poop and she always seams to want to talk about it when we're eating.

My wife is an ICU nurse. My little sugar mama.
