| Post subject: | Back from the emergency room... |
With a broken left foot. I tripped over Bill's office chair last night and it just snapped. I have crutches, a boot/brace thing I have to wear and lots of pain pills. I even got a morphine shot before they took the x-rays. I am feeling no pain. Unfortunately, Bill leaves next Tuesday and will be gone for a month. My neighbor Maggie has offered to help out. Thank goodness for friends! |

That does suck big time, Laurel. Emergency rooms are the same as morgues to me: I'm the guy that would stitch his own ear back on before going to the hospital. 
Hope you get better. Look at it this way: all the time off your feet floating on painkiller highs can be spent reading your brains out. And if you should have to Karate chop someone, use your hands only.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. I plan on doing lots of reading and I have a couple of crochet projects to finish... drugs permitting.
Bill will be gone but so many neighbors have offered their help. You can't beat a small town for kindness. And Steve, I was thinking of you when I was waiting for x-rays.
