A few thoughts.....


1. This lady can write. Breeding Ground is my first book of Sarah's, and I plan to get more - namely Tower Hill in a month or so. She ratcheted up the creepiness factor in this book, and the character were very well done for the most part.

2. Instead of 339 pages, this novel needs to be about 600 pages. It's a post-apocalyptic style novel, and needs to be more of an epic. I don't mind open endings, such as Keene's Rising & City of the Dead. But this novel just kind of stops, nothing settled, no real climax. I was very disappointed with the ending after such a great job throughout.

3. As an add-on comment from #2, there better be a sequel for this in the future.

Don't worry Craig. I'm pretty sure I remember her saying there would be a sequel.

I'm in the category with hugehorrorfan: I just spent 60 big green ones on six books and Sarah wasn't in there. She's one of the many authors I have in the back of my mind to buy and read but others like, Greg Gifune, Jack Priest, James Moore and Gary Braunbeck all find their way into my billfold.

I'll get to Sarah soon enough though!

I thought Breeding Ground was a great read. I didn't care all that much for the second one I read (can't remember the title off the top of my head, but the cover had a little evil looking girl staring through a window... The Taken? Meh, something like that...). I'm looking forward to Tower Hill (I believe it's called).
