Is it waking up to a masked man in your room? Fire? Monsters? Bees? I have a few normally irrational fears. (like that *snort) I have a height phobia. I cannot go near any type of ledge. Be it a window that is all glass to the floor in a high story of a building or a scenic overlook. Hell I can't even stand on a stupid chair without my legs getting all weak. If there is some form of railing that comes to just above my knees I am fine. I can go towards it but if there is no railing... nope. It is an extreemly weird sensation I get that my body wants to throw it over the side. Not that by any means I even want to but my body seems programed to sway towards the drop. I can fly in a airplane just fine since I am enclosed but standing.... nope. I also have a semi irrational fear of honey bees. I am deathly allergic so the sight of one of those little buggers actually makes me break out in a sweat and now that they are dying off I can't kill them ![]() I also have a STRONG fear of death. Not of the actual way I die but the actual death part. This is so intense that when ever I think about it I actually get physically sick to my stomach. Just the moment of death. Not the leading up to it or the after but the moment. Shudders After 9-11 I got a weird fear of bridges. Weird because 9-11 had nothing to do with bridges. But I have some serious trouble on a large bridge going over a huge body of water. In my head I actually have a plan for what to do if something were to happen and I fell into the water with my car. I have gone over the steps a thousand times in my mind. Hit the window due to them being power and lower them. One hand on my seat belt latch, swim out the window, blow bubbles to see which way is up. Wierd. No idea why it is so strong but it is. And one stupid thing that spooked me out. I have a ghost in the house. That doesn't scare me but one night I was all alone. It was after 11pm and I was just getting ready to get off the couch and my dog starts growling, all the hair goes up on the back of her back and then she starts barking the intruder bark. As I looked down the hallway the closet door swings open. Needless to say I was a little spooked to have to go down the hall to go to bed. The closet opens all the time but the dog normally doesn't bark like that. Wow I was wordy ![]() |

Bats. They are just awful. Even talking about them creeps me out. So that's enough of that. |

One more. I love to swim. Doesn't matter where just as long as I am in the water. But throw in murky water and it becomes a little different. I just KNOW that I am going to put my foot down on a decomposing corpse. I can feel that that is going to happen. Why? no clue |

Being dead or paralyzed, but still be able to rationally think. I think I saw an old episode re-run of Hitchcock Presents where it played on this idea. Freaky stuff. What if you have an itchy nose and you can't scratch it or tell anyone to scratch it for you? Ahhhh! ![]() But seriously, the idea really does freak me out. |

Losing my dogs. Other than that, can't really think of anything that I fear. I know I loathe scorpions because of a bad experience growing up. |

I fear for my neice. She's six and I've had a few of those episodes where I look up and she's not where I thought she was and at first I'm okay and I keep looking, and then I keep looking, each spot a little less probable than the one before, and soon I start to get that cold spot in my stomach. |

My biggest fear is that Bill will be deployed again before he retires from the Army. We're probably looking at one more tour before 2011. ![]() |
