Ohio is raising the minimum wage 15 cents and hour, and expects it will create a consumer spending boom. That's 6.00 a week, or hang on to your seat, 24.00 a month or roughly 300.00 a year when you figure in a few extra weeks. As Lewis Black said, "It would make more sense for the politicians to come to your door and piss on your leg." By any standard, a 15 cent raise is an insult to intelligence, and enhances my belief that people who go into politics are from another planet that is not based on reality. In other words, they are just plain nuts. |
