Our publisher has just started a subscription drive now for DARK DISCOVERIES magazine. Everybody who is a subscriber by the time issue #25 comes out around Halloween will get a free ARC of Lisa Morton's new novel due out in January, 2014. So you get to read it three months before everybody else does! On top of that, Chris is also giving away a whole bunch of other books (including a number of signed/limited HCs) via a number of drawings as well as a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.
So if you've been on the fence about subscribing or renewing now's a good time to do it. Here's the link:

Hi guys,
Coming up at the end of October is the final drawing round for the big Dark Discoveries magazine Subscription drive. Everybody who purchases or renews their subscription automatically gets an ARC copy of Lisa Morton's new book, Netherworld, which is slated to be released in January (and you also already get a free digital copy of every issue along with your print copy for your subscription). But there is also one last drawing around the end of October (on the 27th) for a bunch of great books and prizes including: signed books by Neil Gaiman, William F. Nolan, Eric Red and others; a $50 Amazon gift card; Signed/Limiteds of the first two JS Doubledown books; a whole box of every JS title in stock and more! Here's the link to the DD website to order and for more info:
I want to personally thank everybody who has continually supported Dark Discoveries magazine over the years - whether subscribing, picking up single issues or helping spread the word. There's no way it would have survived this long without you (we're coming up on 10 years at the start of 2014!). And for those that are on the fence about it, I wanted to let you know that it's a great time to pick up a subscription with the extra bonus book and a bunch of chances to win stuff too.
I'm excited about the future of DD and so is new owner Christopher Payne of Journalstone books. With him behind it, we've expanded the page count and went completely full color, we've got a great staff working with me on it, we've gotten caught up and on a tight quarterly schedule and we've got some of the best fiction and nonfiction out there - with a lot more awesome stuff to bring you in the future. So I hope you'll join us for the ride!
